Is the scavanger rat scull used for anything? Are there any hidden easter-eggish items that can be made in HotU (like the spores which could be used to upgrade sword in SoU)?

God, I knew those spores in SoU serbed sth, but never thought of this.... you mean those spores you find early in that barn?
I remember sth like this Rat Skull in HotU. is in that horrible mimic part?

Yes, those ones exactly... but I made a mistake... you can use them to upgrade a quartz crystal into a ring, not a sword. Misha's sword can be used with a quartz crystal as well. there were a few other combinations.
Some items though were just that: junk (e.g. fish and meat). I got the rat scull from the mimic...

I would suspect "no" because it is so near the end of the game. You'll get one final crack with the merchants and then the game is essentially over. Unless it could be made into a bomb to throw at Meph or something but I doubt that.ZFR wrote...

TBH, I can't even recall any easter eggs in SoU other than some of the cute designer jibes from time to time. I don't really consider crafting items with the designed dynamic as an easter egg, just an interesting non-plot related activity. In HotU, there are MANY skill-check and class-check type governed provisions which might be considered as "egg-ish". Supposedly, there are romance interactions with henchies that require very specific conditions to occur. There actually were topics (it may even have made into a sticky) in the forums of old. I suck finding anything with the WaybackMachine so if you have some skill in that area, you may find a few threads regarding an actual egg list. Whether the list included any found in HotU I can't recall but there was such a list contrived by the NWN faithful once upon a time.
