I like the argument of multiplayer automatically ruining single player, when people talk about different allocation of resources. I think for the most part those that oppose multiplayer care about their story being ruined, well last time I checked there is very few games that actually have much in the way of story for MP. So you dont really lose anything in the way of writer time.
