I hope it's DLC, at least. Or better yet, it's on its own disk. I really don't want this crap to be part of the main game.
Also, there better not be multiplayer achievements...
Try again.
Name one with multiplayer people actually talked about.
The co-op achievements could be completed offline in SP.

There's three routes for ME3's multiplayer, all of which are going to suck, so let's just get them out of the way:LPPrince wrote...
On the subject of multiplayer game modes, am I the only one who's sick of seeing no-win Horde/Zombie/Survival mode type things?
1. Co-op: This one is obvious. Play as the squadmembers, shoot things, and probably only observe the host (Shepard) when he's on the ship. This is just going to be a boring game mode, especially considering that the combat in ME is only hard because your AI incompetant. If you had a few friends, even insanity would be a cake-walk.
2. Horde/Hipster Objective Game: This one is also very possible, especially considering that almost all of EA's games that have implemented multiplayer into a strictly singleplayer franchise have done this. This has been overdone to the end of time, I don't want to play it, keep this s*** out.
3. Multiplayer Deathmatch: This is the very worst idea of multiplayer. Please do not do this, take note of RE5 and DS2, this is not going to work, especially with ME's feel in combat. I will literally never buy a Bioware product again (I probably won't anyway considering how the company is going) if they implement this.
Those are my theories, take em' or leave em'.

Just a thought - if Bioware feels that ME3's gameplay is good enough to work in MP, of any kind, that implies that the gameplay has been substantially improved since ME2. This is a good thing.
There would have to be serious improvements to multiple aspects for the multiplayer to work. First they would have to change the physics of biotics such as lift to have an impact on the players themselves. Second they would have to change the time dilation effect. Third, they would have to do serious balancing to the classes otherwise Vanguards will be unbelievably broken.

"We listen" does not equate to "We let you dictate every aspect of our games."
So you're saying "we listen" equates to "we'll do whatever we wnt, regardless of the fanbase's wishes"?
Because there was literally nobody campaigning for multiplayer, and there were (are) a lot of people strongly opposed to it. This wasn't some polarizing issue in the fanbase. There was no MP vs SP conflict.

"Sold-out" Such an over used term and completely ridiculous.
They're a business. They are trying to make money. They have to do things sometimes that some people won't like. Geez.
Said that on the other Thread not the exact same but meant the exact same thing!!

Well gee, if they listen to people, they could at least listen on the most important aspects of a game, like putting in multiplayer instead of asking people what outfit Ashley or Liara should wear.

I dispute your premise that "need" ought be a requirement for adding features.

Geez, how long have you been gaming? a year or two? You obviously dont have a clue
I think my first game was either Wolfenstein or Cannon Fodder.
Edit: Or Super Mario Bros and Duckhunt, if we're counting those.
Just think, if you had just said, "I don't see the appeal of multiplayer and won't be playing it myself" I wouldn't have said anything. But you had to break out that phrase that won't die.

I didn't mean stuff like powers, I just meant the basic underlying TPS gameplay - basically the shooting and the cover system. If Bioware think they've nailed that, then that is a good sign.AlphaJarmel wrote...

Me-"Hey dudes, don't know if you heard the news, but Mass Effect 3 is apparently going multiplayer somehow."
Friends-"Oh, well I'm still not gonna get it."
Me-"Figured as much."
Hah. I convinced a friend to get ME1 and 2, he got past a few worlds in ME1, quit, and took both games back to the store. Refused to touch 2 because he HAS to play previous games in a series before he goes to future ones.

Both the original Modern Warfare and its successor didn't. In fact, Infinity Ward has a policy of their own against multiplayer achievements. It primarily has to do with preventing people from cheating and such when online.RamirezWolfen wrote...

Anyway, that is great news. If done right (co-op and horde mode), multiplayer for Mass Effect could boost the quality of the game enormously.
