Because of course MP can't be anything other than CoD, and games like Portal 2 or Journey clearly don't exist...

How come so many people seem to lose control of their sphincter at the inclusion of multiplayer? It's not like anyone will hold a gun to your head and force you to play it. If you don't care for it, stick to the single player experience. That's what I'm going to do.

Balthier is correct. Bioware never confirmed no multiplayer. Not one single time. Wishful thinking by fans took words for more than they were worth, or meant.

Actually they did, in the ME3 Game Informer article, April edition.  It was clearly stated that there woudl be no MP in ME3, that they where doing it for future titles and games. 

Personally I don't care either way.

I read that article quite a few times and I distinctly remeber "we have nothing to announce at this time" and "we are looking into it" type of responses.

Rabid pvp'ers who care more about "destroying" other players than they do about a good story.

And this comes from a long-time pvp'er, but I've spent enough time amongst pvp that I know that story and single-player ALWAYS suffers when pvp becomes a factor, because it inevitably becomes the focus.

Cancelled my pre-order CE. I'll pick it up used, thanks. If I want pvp, I'll go play Galaxies or SWTOR(when it's out).

I'm seeing this as more of a mini-game on the side. Perhaps opt-in co-op will be allowed during missions, but I doubt we'll have someone running around on the Normandy with us.

For competitive multiplayer, I wouldn't mind some sort of arena where we play as characters from the series, all with their own builds and arsenals. That's one way to remove time dilation from the equation. But will biotics ragdoll other players?

Do you think they care? We all are going to buy ME3, regardless of any multiplayer mode they throw at us. They want the sales figures of CoD, that's why multiplayer is included.

This reveal can only get worse if it is just some lame deathmatch or horde mode. If it's co-op missions, seperate of the main game, I can deal with it. I'm actually willing to believe that such a mode could be interesting. All these months of speculation have tamed my rage about multiplayer a bit.

When people use this logic, it makes me wonder... How exactly will you know that what you didn't like in SP will be as a direct consequence of the existence of MP ?

The first 2 games had plenty of faults, but no MP to pin them on. So MP will become the obvious scapegoat to EVERYTHING that is/may be wrong with the game.

At least, it will make the post-launch whine threads much less convoluted than before.
