Multiplayer: Because Mass Effect need a good Horde/ Survival/ Kill 'em all mode
So our "killer feature" is multi-player. Why is it the only people excited about this are affiliated with EA and the press? How does this fit with Mass Effect being "Shepard's story"? Are we supposed to believe the Alliance cloned Shepard or something? The game was delayed three months for this?!
Fail.
I'd be fine with multiplayer as long as it doesn't affect
the single-player mode in ANY way. I am disappointed that Bioware had to
delay the game so long, and even though there is no evidence, I strongly
believe that this is the reason why.
However, I can see MP working out quite nicely.
Example: VS (Ashley or Kaidan) work alongside Shepard as a playable character.
This would be co-op and would work alongside the story; it would be up to the
player's decision to play the game as a SP mode and encounter the character as
(s)he would in ME1 or ME2, or to allow a second player to take control of VS
and change the game to a way they would prefer.
I, however, do not think that using a second customizable character (or a
cloned Shepard) would work. It would simply interfere with the storyline of SP
too much.
Only thing worse than that would be if ME3 opened up a PvP option. I think
anything more MP past co-op would be unbearable.
