Guess what's not under the sole control of the lead writer.

If you're telling me the lead writer doesn't have a strong influence on the main story then I don't know what to tell you.  Never did I say he's the only influence but he has to sign off on it.

Lets get something straight. BioWare has NOT confirmed MP at all.

Have they denied it? That would sure clear things up.

What's worse is that this news is actually ruining my mood. I know BioWare has experience with multiplayer in previous games (and succesfully) but I really really doubt that this is going to be anything but the same old deathmatch/horde modes that every other multiplayer game gives us.

So I hope BioWare can surprise me and tell me they've invested much time and effort to make multiplayer interesting and fitting to the game, like Assassin's Creed or Splinter Cell, and seperate of the main game.

The covers of both the Australian mag and OXM talk about ME3 multiplayer in front of an image of Shepard flanked by an Asari and a Krogan.

Implications... very pleasant. I would love to play as a Krogan.

Also, OXM describes the SP as beefy so we shouldn't be worried about the impact of MP on it.

LOL! Really?! The ones crying about multiplayer being bad as an inclusion wither done right or not, sure go back to the dark ages. They're playing a shooter with RPG on the top. The non-MP group is as bad as obsessive hikkimori otaku that cry and get upset over finding out a voice actress for a character has a boy friend... The game having MP should be the least of their worries...

A bunch of people on BSN =/= the general reception of the game.

I've told this story before so I'll keep it short: when I go on any other website and mention that this crowd often pins ME1 above ME2, they think I'm lying. It's not the average reception even among many fairly involved fans.

In any case, since there's a decent chance you'll tell me it's irrelevant because our group is the most important, most dedicated, so on... I prefer ME2 overall as well. So if the main story is anything like the quality of ME2, I can at least tell you it won't be a negative for 'everybody'.
