Multiplayer in Mass Effect 3

- when I'll see a video where Mr. Hudson explicitly confirms there will be multiplayer
- thread about confirmation of multiplayer appearing in "Mass Effect 3 news and announcements"
- * I'd launch a game and see this option. Hardly unlikely.
All other claims will be dismissed

That would be satisfactory, as long as the missions were tactical and varied. In addition, some sort of Firefight/Horde mode would be a nice addition as long as it is incorperated properly.IronSabbath88 wrote...
Think about this for a second. If it's seperate co-op missions NOT RELATED TO THE STORY, as has been suggested, would they not maybe take a Red Dead Redemption route then and maybe have the co-op missions as free downloads? As in, they won't even BE on the disc? Then the game discs are fully singleplayer and the co-op add ons are downloadable. That's the prime way to go about it and it's totally what I see happening.

Indeed. Something co-operative would be interesting.Bachi1230 wrote...
Tad inappropriate don't you think Mr.Kusy?
Also to OP They have neither confirmed or denied multiplayer, but the impression we're getting is that it isn't likely to have Multiplayer in ME 3.
On a side note I'm not sure how having a Co-op mode multiplayer where you can have one person be shepard and the other be one of the crew members (They get unique dialogue options appropriate to their character that are just flavor text). be a bad thing.
Also I've yet to see a game be "ruined" with the edition of multiplayer. Not that I support multiplayer for ME 3.
It would be an interesting way of solving the AI problem - remove it from the equation.

There are no direct quotes in that article. When referring people to sources, it's better to refer them to primary sources (i.e. developers saying directly "there is no multiplayer in ME3") than secondary sources (i.e. journalists quoting each other in a mutual-masturbatory journalism frenzy).
I doubt there will be multiplayer in ME3 because I have seen the direct quotes from Bioware that indicate there won't be, but the game still isn't out yet. They could always just be denying it.

Agreed, well every bit of infomation counts to something right. I really hope there is no multiplayer.

It would definitely be a strange move to make at this point in general. What would bother me the most about it though would be how they have denied, denied, denied this feature up until now; I think it would be disrespectful for them to suddenly say "Scratch all that! We were lying the whole time!" Not to mention the fact that this move would seriously undermine Bioware's credibility (at least for me).

I'll believe there will be multiplayer in two (technically, three) cases:
- when I'll see a video where Mr. Hudson explicitly confirms there will be multiplayer
- thread about confirmation of multiplayer appearing in "Mass Effect 3 news and announcements"
- * I'd launch a game and see this option. Hardly unlikely.

The Turian councilor would still dismiss multiplayer, even with all three of those conditions met.

I have trusted Bioware alot with their games, to be honest if they pulled a move like this it make me feel a little distrusted, towards games that Bioware develop. This is eating away at me. Can't wait for the 25th October. To find out. Or not find out...

Excepp co-op (if real) was most likely done by BioWare Montreal so it wouldn't take away from SP.xnoxiousx wrote...
Its bad news i am almost sure now single player part of the game will suffer from that. No matter how much you argue it if they do co-op that is 2 or 3 months they could have made more missions or fixes or better things to single player.

I just don't understand why they would keep denying it if there really was multiplayer. One would think that they would instead talk about it every chance they get, to help promote the game to a larger potential customer base.

After all, once we do know what it is, we'll have plenty of time to complain about it. Look how much mileage DA2 haters have gotten out of "recycled environments".

Radical new idea: How about we complain about the new feature AFTER we know what it is? Or better yet, AFTER we've directly experienced its implementation in the game? Instead of, you know, assuming it's multiplayer, and assuming it's sucky player-vs.-player and assuming its going to "take away" from the main game. I guess what I'm saying is how about doing less assuming?

I have an even better idea: since we won't know for a while and for now all we can do is assume and hope and agonize and pray and expect and cheer, how about you let us have our fun assuming in peace?
