Glad u like it. I was trying to color code it to make differentiating between the different media types (games, novels, comics, etc), but Bioware's forums' HTML coding is glitched beyond belief. They really need to update and re-design their forums.

The BB Code that the boards use differs a bit from standard HTML code.

Red Text
Blue Text
Yellow Text

Here is a handy cheat-sheet of the differences.

We can't be sure that Witch Hunt happened in 9:32. All we know is that it happened at a time when Bodahn and Sandal were in Ferelden (Redcliffe and the Circle respectively) and after Awakening.

A DA2 import where Alistair is king and the Warden left with Morrigan will have King Alistair mention in 9:37 that the Hero of Ferelden should be back in Denerim by the time he gets back, meaning either a) Witch Hunt happens at approximately the same time, B) the Warden came back from mirror land, or c) it's an import/continuity/Varric embellishment error.

Yeah, its not entirely clear when exactly Witch Hunt takes place.

In WH, the description on the map for Denerim or Vigil's Keep makes mention of it being several years since the AD died. Yet, the website for the DLC says: "Nearly a year has passed since the Archdemon's death, and word has reached the Wardens that Morrigan has returned to Ferelden." Which would make it seem WH takes place only about 1 year after the end of Origins, not "several" like the ingame references note.

And like you said, you have the bizarre reference King Alistair makes.

The problem is, anytime I edit the first post, it "forgets" the previous settings and screws everything up.  Meaning, I can't really ever update the first post with new stuff without losing all the coding and having to re-type it all.  Seriously, Bioware's boards are terrible.  I've never encountered such sheer frustration trying to do (what should be) a simple post.

So say I spell something wrong, or misplace an entry, if I edit it, it'll lose all the color, italics, bold, underline, etc.  I'm sorry, but thats ridiculous.

This is a problem thats been going on for awhile on these boards (at least a couple years), and I've yet to see them try to fix it (which should be pretty simple to do).

I'm positive Redemption is meant to be canon, considering Tallis (Felicia Day's elven Rogue from the web series) will play a major part in the upcoming DA2 DLC "Mark of the Assassin".

As far as I know, Warden's Fall is considered canon (though I could be wrong). I know there's a minor hiccup regarding Kristoff's wife (or her appearance or something to that effect), but its pretty minor.

If Warden's Fall isn't canon, someone please let me know and I'll remove it.

As for the placement of Witch Hunt, I placed it in 9:32 because, as the website states, it takes place a year after the fall of the Archdemon. Now, I know in the game, there's a mention on one of the locations that the Archdemon fell "several years ago", and the DA Wikia page's blurb mentions its been "almost two and a half years".

Its also worth noting the mentions of the Fereldan refugees in the Free Marches and Kirkwall, referencing the events of DA2 (though presumably only the first act).

It is entirely possible Witch Hunt should be set in 9:33 DA.

I like how DA2 has three separate dates instead of a timespan.

Perhaps the King Alistair dialogue was written before Witch Hunt was, because i honestly cant see who would be so idiotic to let that line get through with no import flag. Was it really an import bug?

You might consider adding an entry for the "present day" of DA2, in 9:40. That's when Varric was talking to Cassandra in those cut scenes.

@PsychoBlonde,

Actually, I did include the present day setting of 9:40 DA on the DA2 entry. It also includes the flashback portions with their respective settings of 9:30, 9:31, 9:34, and 9:37. For the purposes of the timeline, the setting of DA2 is 9:40, and the flashbacks are viewed as just that, especially since we can't be sure just how much Varric embellished or added (or left out) important details of the true happenings. Thus, at best, the actual gameplay and storyline of Hawke from DA
2 is merely an interpretation of those events, maybe not the complete truth.

I am reading the Stolen Throne, and I am planning on reading the other novels by David Gaider (already got The Calling).

Because there is a lot of content/lore, this timeline is perfect for placing stories into context (thank you for that OP!)

So if it is possible, could this be stickyed and be updated whenever there is some new Dragon Age related story available?

Mainly because it gives me a more insight and understanding when playing Origins/DA2 and for the upcomming expansion (speculation), dlc (speculation) and/or DA3 (speculation)...

JerHopp out....

Has anyone here played 'A Tale of Orzammar'?

I know its very low quality and not worth playing at all but I'm still curious. Whats it even about?

I believe remix takes place about 13 years prior to legends, right before the legends intro video that shows ravi and his team battling the demon

I'll be updating the timeline soon to reflect The Silent Grove comic and the next upcoming DA comic (teased at the end of each issue of The Silent Grove), and maybe do a bit of readjusting.

And maybe some new RPG info, maybe not... We'll see.
