Dawn of the Seeker is 9:37 DA.

Bringing this back because it's really useful to use.

Agreed. Was trying to Google where the dragon age comic made by Orson Scott Card fitted into the lore and it's thanks to this thread that i now know :)

On that note... was the parts 1-6 the only ones made for that comic? If so it leaves a lot of things in the air

Wrong, Dawn of the Seeker is after DA2

From Dawn of the seeker last battle between Cassandra and the corrupt Templar:

Posted Image

He is saying he and his buddies will build a new organization, a new Chantry / Templar order "where events like Kirkwall will not be tolerated"

DotS is not "after" DA2, DA2 ends in 9:40 via the last scene where Cassandra leaves Hawke's Estate to meet with Leliana. The Last Straw takes place in 9:37 as does the events of DotS a little after that.

An update, because of Gaider tweets. He said the rebellion KC from DotS was about Meredith becoming Knight Commander, which was when the Viscount before Dumar tried to oust the templars from Kirkwall. And he also said it takes place when Cassandra was new to the order and not a leader of any sort. So considering Justinia V is Divine it could be in 9:34 at the earliest barring continuity issues.

Interesting. I really wish we had an actual date on this.

So anywhere from 9:34-9:37? It'll be before Act 3 of DA2 right, because the Templars are still under Chantry rule?

Yeah, 9:34 is when Act 2 starts, actually. And the Templars don't rebel til after 9:39-9:40 and the ending of Asunder. So, somewhere in there, lol. My guess would be 9:34-9:35 without any real source of info beyond it gives Cassandra 5-6 years to investigate what is in the book the Divine procured for her to start investigating. Given that we only kinda know what is in it, it could infact take several years. *shrugs* Asunder also mentions the dragon attack that took years to recover from. Makes sense if dots happens years ago, lol.

If I remember correctly, the scene in the film where the Divine gives Cassandra the book isn't directly connected to the rest of the film.

So it could take place years later? The book does have the events of Act 3 within it, albeit vague. And the book would have to be handed to Cassandra after Act 3 because the only reason the Divine sends Cassandra is to find Hawke, the man/woman thought to be responsible for Kirkwall's demise.

You're right, I did overlook that. Maybe we'll find out more in a year or 2 when DA3 comes out, Cassandra is about the most likely companion we know of, I'm sure she'll clue us in.

I sure hope so, I'm intrigued by her character.

When did Asunder take place? If I remember correctly it mentions something about being a year after the rebellion in Kirkwall. Is that correct?

Do we have a date for the scenes between Varric and Cassandra from DA2? How far after the final battle in Kirkwall do they occur?

Dave Gaider tweeted that that mention of Kirkwall on Asunder refers to the rebellion that put Meredith in charge, i.e. when the old Viscount killed Meredith's boss.. A few years before DA2

The mention

Um, that's Dawn of the Seeker, not Asunder.

My apologies!

Asunder takes place 2 years after Kirkwall / Hawke's stuff happens. It says so in the book

Thanks. I knew a date was mentioned in the book but I didn't have it handy to check.

I agree with Mazz. Here is the reference that the Dragon Age wiki is using: http://r2smuse.tumbl...n-of-the-seeker
