For some reason or other, I cannot enter the city of Neverwinter. All other cities present no problem, but when I click on Neverwinter, the dialog box pops up, and the only option I have is "farewell". This prevents me from continuing the main quest.
Any ideas?

I searched online and it was stated that the Team Rush feat will cause you to be unable to enter cities. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be my problem, because I do not have the Team Rush feat. :-\\

found a bug, typo in the conversation for Neverwinter. Try this (just outside the city):
rs ga_local_int("bPassPurchased", "1", "f00_plc_to_n01")
( the var is set as "bPassPurcahsed" .. ) But this might not be the only problem, 'cause one of the convo nodes ought show up regardless - "Can I get entry to the city?" That should show up if you haven't got a Neverwinter Entry Pass from a cartel yet. But that means it would be possible to join a cartel without getting a Pass - in which case "Here are my entry papers." ought show up (sic <- that node doesn't check for entry papers, it checks for cartel membership). I didn't investigate the actual cartel-convos much, but you might have some issues there as well

Thanks very much for the response. The dialogue option I am given is as follows (paraphrased):
•Description: greeted by a guard wearing Neverwinter colors.
•Dialogue option: 1. [Continue]
•Dialogue option: 1. Farewell.
No mention of purchasing a pass. I'll try your suggestion and see if it works.

ohh, that's bad ..
(i'm quoting the 'f00_nw_guard' conversation here)
[As you approach the gates to Neverwinter, you are quickly intercepted by a guard wearing the colors of the city]
+[Continue](PC)
++Hail and well met, travellers.(Guard)
+++Here are my entry papers.(PC)
+++I'd like to purchase another pass.(PC)
+++Can I get entry to the city?(PC)
+++Farewell.(PC)
If "hail & well met" doesn't appear I assume the dialog file is corrupted (there are no conditions or stipulations on that Guard-line). Do you have any mods for SoZ that contain the file 'f00_nw_guard' in your MyDocs->Override folder?

I ran the script per your previous post and it worked like a charm!
As for mods....the only mods I currently use are heads, hair, and weapons. However I -did- briefly use a mod that edited scripts so your buffs are preserved from the overland map. But I've removed it since it didn't work for the Heart of Rashemon. I'm not sure if it modified "f00_nw_guard" or not, although I doubt it since it shouldn't have tinkered with conversations. I'll have to check.
Regardless, your previous suggestion worked. So again, thanks very much for your assistance!!

The overland buff mod didn't modify "f00_nw_guard". I can only assume through the course of trying various mods, my game got screwed up. Thanks again for your tip, which allowed me to progress further along the main quest. :-)

okie-doke,
very welcome. (I'm still scratching my head why one of the other nodes didn't show up, but that could be 'just me')
the important thing is to keep the trucks trukin'
ps. maybe someday i'll upload my take on "dedeBuffs" - but it needs much more testing, tweaking, and general ironing ... at least it keeps buffs to and from the RandomEncounters (hint: onEnter scripts). If any problems with the cartels show up, just give us a hollar wtatashi

I'm thinking I'll just restart the SoZ campaign one of these days, and see if the bug happens again.
Also: the Personal Impossibility Adjustment? EPIC. First time I actually died and had to reload in Nwn. Good stuff!!!
