None of them are great and surely no match for even the worst DA:O companion (Zevran on my sheet), but Aveline would be my choice for fave because she's a believable, down-to earth character who surprises with a really cute quest. Pity she's been made so ugly.

Worst is Fenris by far, no need to lose any more words on him. Isabella was a close follow-up, but I noticed she's bearable with that "put your pants on" mod. =D

I think my favorite one is Bethany, because of her kindness and sweetness to people. Also some of her lines are generally funny, like: "smile and nod... smile and nod" to Hawke when he's talking to a templar. The sister/brother-sister relationship was captured well between them too.

The one I hate the most is... probably Anders. The way Bioware treated him was disrespectful towards Greg Ellis who did such a great job with him in Awakening. Not to mention the audience - he's a completely different character! He's no longer a positive character, nor does he make funny comments about other people. He just whines about everyone and everything. <_<

Favorite: Merrill simply because I find her cute and adorable.
Worst: Anders, He is nothing but a fanatical terrist to me and I dispise him period.

Least favourite: Merril and Anders. After knowing him in Awakening it makes me feel bad, but I can't say I like what he has become. Ah, Justice. And Merril just gets on my nerves with her dabbling in blood magic after Leandra's death.
I like Fenris just fine. And Bethany of course, but she's away for so much time.

Bethany *would* be among my favorites where it not for the fact that making the 'wrong' (read mage) decision at character creation prohibited her from surviving the prologue.

Really none are very memorable for me, just like awakening. However if i had to say my fav would be Bethany. Worst being Anders. I hated him in Awakening, but he is even worse in DA2. And Varric. Yes Varric. many like him, but he just doesnt appeal to me. The best i can say for him is that he is my fav dwarf, but it isnt hard to beat oghren or sigrun.

In DA2, my favorite is probably Isabela - who pleasently surprised me by being the deepest character in the game by afar (well, IMO anyway)

My least favorite was Merrill, who, I can only describe (again IMO), as an absolute and utter moron of the highest degree (though, as I understand from Merrill fans, her cluelessness is part of the supposed charm). I would happily have cut her head off at some point in Act 2 if the option had been there.

Varric - not even close. He is by far the best companion in the game.

Anders - his character was butchered in DA2. The guy was a bro in Awakenings, but was a total dick in DA2. Complete 180 of his character.

Does no one ever bother to pay attention to what is said in DA2? He merged with Justice who became Vengeance which further influenced him to act the way he does. On top of that he was forced to get rid of his cat, that's enough to push anyone over the edge.

Still does make his character any better. The DA2 team should have went another direction with Anders.

Isabela, how can you NOT love her? She's like a female Jack Sparrow.
Anders, mainly because of Awakening but I also like his romance.
Varric, again, you can't not like him.

Sebastian: I don't like his personality, it seems conflicting and annoying at times.
Merril: Blood mage, and her cuteness seems like fanservice.
Fenris: I don't like the broody, emo types.

My favorite would be Fenris or siblings? and oddly enough although I love Anders, he annoys me the most. After my 3rd playthrough his whining about mages just becomes too much. Having Hawke romance him can be pretty painful when that's all he talks about.

Oh how I miss Awakening Anders~

Worst: Fenris by leaps and bounds (seriously the worst fictional character ever)
Anders (really just because of how awesome he was in Awakening, and the fact that he always hits on me makes him seem less bro tier)
