Ya, odd question considering what we are. I understand.

Alot of species, as in, basically all of them, seem to love the Asari. Humans are by far the most reminiscent of the Asari, yet you never hear good comments about their looks. Before BSN, I would have said that cross-species attraction is extremely odd. But considering half the population finds Tali and Garrus sexy (i'm with ya!), it really isn't that odd at all.

I think some species are generally considered "uglier" then others (Asari on top, Krogan at the bottom). Where do you think humans fit in here? I think the thing that would bring us down is hair. We have hair, but you only see it in one spot, really (in public, of course...) It is a mess of dead tissue hanging from our heads. A little weird, I think. That said, apparently Aria found the chick Morinth killed "the cutest thing". Garn finds Turians slightly less uglier to look at then Shepard. And Garrus has a hair fetish.

Only some, others make the back end of an elcor look seductive.

True in this case, though.

Species aren't going to typically find the same characteristics attractive. Turians have different perception of what makes a Turian attractive, as do elcore, Krogan (that hump on their back is a big deal, apparently), and Hanar.

Hell, culturally, even among humans the same things aren't necessarily considered attractive. In many cultures a 'plump' woman is more attactive, while American men typically prefer skinnier women.

My guess is that we are probably about as atractive to any given species as they are to us. That said, there will always be some devient that will find another species attractive for one reason or another.

Young human women, reminiscent of asari, might be viewed as somewhat "exotic" to other species. A pink/orange/brown asari with weird fringe "hair" instead of tentacles. But human males would probably look like weirdly bulky, misshapen asari and probably not very shagadelic to the discerning alien xenosexual connoisseur.

That is of course if Asari actually look like they do. All the species seem to think they look similar to their own.

Of course that should be debunked with pictures or something, but still.

I imagine the interesting features for humans are hair and ears (have we really seen any other species with the same ear shape going on?) and maybe the overall body-shape.. but it's really hard to tell, as each species find different things attractive.

The asari are considered the most attractive race in the galaxy, surprising absolutely no one.

Asari look like asari. Other species just fixate on the traits that are most similar to their own, which is telling about what features those species focus on in general.

IIRC, Asaris are only the "top dogs" in the pretty chain because it's implied that every specie see them in a different way. I think.

As leonia pointed out (HI LEONIA), every specie find different things attractive, so I guess it depends of the alien :|

Edit: Ninja'd ~

Being human I can't really give an objective opinion about this....But I think some aliens would look at humans and go "Hmmm Shmexy" Just like some humans look at Wrexy and go "Hmmm Shmexy".

Hmmmm Shmexy Wrexy.....

However, they try to kill everybody, thus proving that humans are horribly ugly.

I believe we have answered the OP's question gentlemen. We're hideous.

Asking what beauty is outside of human perspectives and the (human) socially-constructed paradigms of "beauty" is probably one of the most subjective questions one could possibly ask.

Eye of the beholder.... matter of taste.... insert cliché here.

I think Liara's face is pretty, but she is one of few Asari characters I can say that about. Just my tastes which most will probably disagree with. Heck, alot of people like Kaidan... I think he can turn most women into lesbians /shrug.

There is a big galaxy out there so there has to be at least some alien who has odd tastes in xenophilia.

kinda why I appreciate the renegade reinterpretations, where human females are explicitely stated as being cheap asari substitutes, since they're easier to capture as slaves. Details, however dark they may be, make a universe.

So yes, realistically, humans (females in particular), would probably be considered as replacements for Asari. At least most of the time. Garrus isn't "really" into aliens after all...

I thought the joining was what made the asari interesting to species like turians and krogan. That any species would enjoy a good melding of the minds. A human slave won't do much good there.

Asari are probably at the top because they provide more than just physical beauty. Remember that Asari are also well rounded intellectual beings (for the most part) and are therefore likely to have a great amount of appeal. I'm sure other species find humans appealing for their own reasons though. Rashness and quickness to action may be judged harshly by the Turians, for example, but I clearly remember Samara stating she quite liked the rashness of the human species ("If there are three humans in a room, there will be six opinions.")
