Only humans sweat?
Asari have head tentacles. Turian have mandibles. Batarians have 4 eyes. Krogan have giant lumps on their backs. And humans have hair.
Every species generally has some really "odd" feature that other species would likely find strange.

That's why we should only have Asari babies, right?

Ya, odd question considering what we are. I understand.
Alot of species, as in, basically all of them, seem to love the Asari. Humans are by far the most reminiscent of the Asari--
Untrue. We "see" the human in them. The turians see the "turian" in them. The asari see the "asari" in us.
As such, who knows what a turian or batarian thinks is attractive?
I think some species are generally considered "uglier" then others (Asari on top, Krogan at the bottom). Where do you think humans fit in here? I think the thing that would bring us down is hair. We have hair, but you only see it in one spot, really (in public, of course...) It is a mess of dead tissue hanging from our heads. A little weird, I think. That said, apparently Aria found the chick Morinth killed "the cutest thing". Garn finds Turians slightly less uglier to look at then Shepard. And Garrus has a hair fetish.
Agreed.

That's a tongue in cheek crack by the writers. The asari have much more in common with humans than they do with say, turians, from four fingers and a thumb to human eyes, faces and bodies. It's one thing to say someone finds shared features attractive, and something else entirely to say "asari are as close in apparence to turians as they are to humans". Don't be daft.

When I saw the asari - "blue women", I was kind've "meh" at their design. Too obviously human, It was only later I had a moment of fridge brilliance at their design.
BASICLY, as we all know Asari take a fraction of the genetic code of the species they mate with. But this still means that Asari are subject to evolution and sexual selection just like any other species. Asari with sexual markers that make them attractive to any given species, increases their chances of successfully mating - natural selection at work.
Which is why the Asari have evolved visual traits, that mimic and make them attractive to a wide range of species; Turians see their crest-like head fronds and tight waists, the Salarians their slightly scaled skin (and colour) and large eyes, the humans see their hips and breasts amongst other things - and all 3 races have similar facial features. Undoubtedly they also probably have pheromones similar to all 3 races too.
Asari discovered the mass relays roughly three life times ago (580 BCE). Not much room for evolution.

For example. I find turians attractive because they look "cool". Not hot or smexy or cute, but really damn cool. (and DAT VOICE)
Maybe turians would find humans... plushy?

However, I'm not sexually attracted to any of the alien races in ME. And honestly, I have a hard time imagining being attracted to them... To each their own I suppose

If the question was, who is more attractive - a 150 year old human or a 150 year old asari ... the answer would be the asari though. Whether humans or asari are more attractive, the asari are longer.Wulfram wrote...

The real question isn't 'are Humans attractive?' The real question is 'If Asari have a taboo in melding with Asari, what are the social rammifications for melding with an Asari with painted skin and a wig?'
Humans should be the biggest taboo escape clause for the sexually-repressed part of the Asari population that, gasp, finds their own species attractive.
'I'm not attracted to Asari: I just find a species that looks almost exactly like us incredibly hot. But they're aliens, so it's OK.'
I thought the taboo was against an asari couple having kids, not melding. On account of those pesky ardat-yakshi.
I wonder how Asari contraception works.
