Im very upset about this issue. Ive tried constantly for an hour to get my game to work. Ive tried reinstalling it. Playing on a different account, everything. It says profile data corrupt right before the main menu, then it wont allow me to lload saves. Its really getting annoying. I shouldnt have to deal with this to play a game i payed good money for. someone please help.

Happened to me too, I was just about finishing Act2 for my second playthrough for trophies. Corrupted all my saves. It said not all DLC were installed that I needed to play. I reinstalled everything, still wont work :P

By the way I have redeemed The Black Emporium and The Exiled Prince, should they not be under "Your Registered Game Promotions?"

You could pester EA technical support for an inordinate amount of time (almost 8 weeks for me). It won't solve your problem, but it might be funny (more often it will be infuriating), and if you stick-it-out long enough they might send you a free game or a t-shirt.

There's also a chance you might have a bad disc. The easiest way to rule-out that possibility is to take your game back to the retailer from which it was purchased and exchange it for another copy. If you don't have the receipt for some reason: many places (WalMart, Target, etc.) will swap-out defective items for the same thing without a receipt.

My hypothesis: awful, lazy, and hasty programming; supporting evidence is everywhere in the game.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, but on the positive side: you're not missing much; Dragon Age 2 is a highly-overrated piece of junk.

Hey I managed to fix it! It might work for you too kris.
Back up your saves that you want to load to a pendrive.
Delete EVERYTHING related to DA2 from your ps3: saves, installdata DLC, etc.
Install the game, redownload the DLCs you have, and install them,
Start the game and exit (I did it to check everything not sure if necessary)
Copy back the saves that you want to play. I only did the most recent ones.
Load and play :)

DriftSpace, well its no DA:O for sure, but Its pretty much the easiest avalible platinum that I have, and I want to have atleast one :D ME2 after that maybe. Also I would appretiate a free Legacy DLC if EA techsupport has one ^^

ME 2 is no easy platinum lol, but DA II is. ME 2 will take some time, because you can definitely get frustrated early on. After the first act, it is pretty much smooth sailing.

About DA II. I have beaten the game three times, and the game, by far (as an rpg) is good. As a sequel, to the critically acclaimed DA: O, no. I like to think of DA II as a separate tale in the DA universe! :)

I found that auto save tends to cause this issue a lot... I logged in the other day after just completing the prologue and it told me I was missing DLC (which was installed) and when I went to continue it told me they were corrupt. I just went into options and checked autosave. Interestingly after I did they all loaded; I've done it three times now. It works better than deleting all data and replacing it/installing over and over again.

Although I have found that it will randomly say it's corrupted with autosave off... I just backup a save after each play and then if I get a corrupt one, I replace it, turn my system off and then back on.

Same problem here.

Files self corrupt at the end of the Legacy dlc, That after completing the MotA dlc.

As far as i've read we spent our money for a rotten product: it appears there is this issue since last January.

Instead of patching / withdraw from the market the product Bioware keeps selling it, which is clearly an abuse.

It's a small thing but makes think about sueing them in a class action....

I'd be down Fervega to sue. This is ridiculous.
