You're on the Mass Effect 3 forums, what do you expect people are going to say?

OT: My most anticipated game is ME3, big surprise, right?

Funny you should say that, considering a good few posts have the game somewhere other than the top of their list.

Well a good number have it at the top of their list and even for those where it isn't at the very top most still have it in their top 3 to 5.  For me it is easily number one because the reapers are finaly here.

Yep, it's #1 for me as well. Pretty easily. I think Mass Effect needs to crank out one more great game before I label it my favorite series but I'm nevertheless more excited for it than I am for the upcoming games for my three actual favorite series -- Final Fantasy, Zelda and Metal Gear.

Just one more time, BioWare, and Mass Effect tops them all. C'mon, Patrick, don't let me down...

Of course Mass Effect 3 is my most anticipated game, although I'm also looking forward to Arkham City, Skyrim, and Bioshock Infinite.

Oh, and why is Gears of War 3 on some people's lists? It's already been released (I've already beaten the campaign), so you shouldn't be anticipating it, you should be playing it.

1. Skyrim
2. Mass Effect 3
3. Dragon Age 3 (Disliked 2, but i love the setting of Thedas, so i have to admit i'm still aching for another installment of Dragon Age)

I just hope ME3 can match the atmosphere of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. That game has an amazing atmosphere.

I have never anticipated any other game with remotely as much hope as I anticipate Mass Effect 3. Given that this level of anticipation has been fairly constant since the day I finished ME2, I think Bioware can be fairly happy with their enslavement of me. ;-)

I was going to say that I wasn't sure you can count Versus, as it currently exists in that void that Kingdom Heart 3 does (haven't played KH games, but same idea)--they say it's coming out, but we know almost nothing about it. If you can count it, though, I'd definitely say that would be on my list as well.

And, I'm not sure what my most anticipated would be. Skyrim, ME3, and FF XIII-2 are pretty close together for me, with Assassins Creed a little behind those three.

In a very particular order: (Most anticipated to least.)

1. Kingdom's of Amalur: Reckoning (Definite purchase.)
2. Diablo III (Definite purchase.)
3. Dragon's Dogma (Cautiously optimistic, high likelihood of purchase.)
4. Dark Souls (Might purchase, not sure.)
5. The Lord of the Rings: War In The North (Might purchase, not sure.)
6. Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim (Pre-order paid for.)
7. Final Fantasy XII-2 (Pretty interested, want to see if the developer can deliver on non-linearity promises before purchase.)
8. Mass Effect 3 (Unsure, recent release quality has made me skittish.)
9. Saint's Row The Third (Hopeful, will pick it up if enough friends do.)
10. Ninja Gaiden 3 (Burned out on Way of the Master on Ninja Gaiden 2, not sure if it's worth the rage.)

I am looking forward to how all of these games develop as their release approaches. Don't really have any other games that I will be picking up that come to mind right now.

Fianaly someone else who knows / wants this. So far I'm the only other person here with it on the list, though it is last on mine not just for anticipated but for release date reasons too.

I had some concerns about the low-res textures for PC, but I honestly just want to play the game. It just looks interesting enough to warrant the purchase.

Actually, thinking about Skyrim, I think I have to elevate that above even ME3. Mining, actually working for people, roaming the countryside, allowed to marry people...yeah, that's at the top.

Skyrim is going to have to do something special with the combat system to get me to play it like I did Oblivion. I just can't do another 500 hours of *cast random spell with random name and everything dies even at +100 difficulty*.

1. Bioshock Infinite
2. Mass Effect 3
3. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
4. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I think that's all I'm anticipating at the moment. I'm dying to play ME 3, but Bioshock Infinite is probably my most anticipated game in the last ten years.

I really don't care about the combat myself (don't take that wrong, not saying anything about you, just saying that I'm apathetic). I find the unparalelled open world exploration to be insanely amazing.

This. If you're playing an Elder Scrolls game for the combat then you're playing it for all the wrong reasons.

I care about all aspects of the game. Something in the game has to be so truly outstanding that everything else that bothers me about the game has to fade into insignificance to allow me to ignore it. I realized that I was doing essentially what I would do in any MMO and fooling myself into thinking it wasn't, which pretty much ruined Oblivion for me.

"Go into random dungeon #5487 and kill everything. Find items desired for loot. Leave. Rinse and repeat on random dungeon #5488."

The really boring landscape eventually got to me, as well. There's only so much a person can take before needing a shot in the arm like Shivering Isles. And there weren't enough of those. Still, I played it for a little more than 500 hours, so one has to take that with a grain of salt.

I guess one can have too much of a good thing in a game.
