Or would you consider it too much at that point?

I'm just curious :P

Dude. The way I feel about this series, I'm probably going to be buying ME 30.

As long as it's not like Halo 4 and appearing to be a rebirth and continuation of the last trilogy I'll be fine with a mass effect 4. I want new and different stories in the ME universe.

It would depend on how the franchise develops.

I think that my affiliation with the series will probably end along with Shepard's story. Don't see how they can milk keep the series going after Reapers are beaten. I mean, how do you top that?

As long as it looks good, sure.

But I want the Reaper arc done by 3.

Ah misrepresenting people. A true skill.

In any case since I have no info on ME4, I can't say. For all we know ME "4" will be an action-adventure game where you play as an asari archeologist or something.

Or maybe it will be a racing game in vein of star wars podracing.

sometimes it's not about topping the last one but about going in a new direction. there are still smaller or different stories that could be done and done well in the same universe.

depends on where they take it...
single player rpg-style - heck yeah!
multiplayer shoot-em-up - pass.

I would probably buy it.

I think Shepard should be done after three.

The ME universe is huge though. There are many other stories to be told. I don't think they have to top the universe destroying reaper threat to be good.

Krogan Rebellions, Rachni Wars, fallout from the end of ME 3.

There are a bunch of directions they could take it.

Space operas were never really my thing. Just kind of got caught up in this one when EA gave away free copies of Mass Effect 2 for having purchased Dragon Age 2. Always prefered swords and sorcery to lasers and wormholes.

I think Mass Effect has the potential to be a great franchise, and I really do love the universe it has built. I hope it goes for a long time and though I never say never, I will most likely stop w/ the end of Shepard's story. It has more to do w/ where the industry as a whole is going than the ME franchise itself.

Maybe a FPS, focusing in multiplayer like BF. Mass Effect: First Contact War.

Not witht eh number 4 on it, because I'll be expecting Shepard and then be disappointed with Shepard.

Only if they can still does something as big as "whole Galaxy" VS "Reapers", which I seriously doubt.
Besides, another problem would be that there would be less and less new things to discover in the ME universe.

Bioware is good at creating new universe, so perhaps they will just need to concentrate fully on another project after ME3? (and make a DA3 as rish as DAO instead of the DA2 mini-game...)

They could put the Mass Effect logo on a package of old cheese and I would buy it. I even bought DLC armors that I don't even wear.

I think you were being sarcastic.  I hope you were anyway.  At this point I do the opposite of anything smugboy suggests.

Mass effect does not have to end with ME3. Hell you could keep going - maybe with episodic titles like Half Life did, or sommat. Hell they got a movie coming up - what better way to plug a movie than a game tie-in?

Why do the opposite? You don't have to listen to him you know, and if you do the opposite of everything he says you would actually be destroying the ME codex mate.

Oho, there's a big badass amongst us.

If ME3 is as awesome as it should be, and ME4 is similar, well, why the hell shouldn't I? Image IPB
