Strong, sophisticated, violent and controlled - Nef.

Can't believe I didn't notice this. It's sad that you're serious.

I'm not completely serious, but hey that's what Samara was couching Shepard on being, and Nef somehow ended up attracting Morinth.

A bump of sorts:

Image IPB
Screen from didymos1120's latest, featuring some cut Morinth lines.

Damn, video removed. :[ Anywhere else I can hear those lines?

I suspect Samara decided that Shepard could never pull off acting like a shy vulnerable artiste.

IMDB lists Natalia Cigliuti as Morinth for ME3...is that confirmed (because as far as I know, Morinth isn't mentioned in the leaked scrip)?

If anyone's role was going to be written late in development, it's Morinth's.

Bumping this to support Morinth.
Hopefully she has a decent role in ME3... She was an amazing character in 2.

She is going to have same role as Samara, only different opinion.

Which really is a shame. Morinth had the potential to be a truly epic character. Out of all of them, she definately drew the short straw in terms of how much time, effort and focus went into her development.

Yes, I think I liked where the mission was going from what I got from the spoilers. It is still very blurry, and I don't know what exactly will happen, but Morinth really has a place in that mission.

I don't like Morinth. I feel sorry for her it's not fair what happened to her. Samara even calls it an injustice and she thinks that everything she does is right because she does it (insane Justicar logic).

I mean, what if someone came up and told you that you were genetically predisposed to being violent and therefore had to be imprisoned forever... even if you hadn't done anything yet?

But she killed lots and lots and lots of people and is at least as insane as her mother.

Morinth is supposed to be a tragic character but people take paragonism and BW overselling the vileness of her actions to extreme levels.

Imagine when you were a teen and you were a typical teen having contact with people maybe even a few flirts, maybe never knowing love yet, or even relationships where you are in love then it all changes you have a disease and they keep you from having contact from anyone ever. Does that sound like a great life for even 50 years much less up to 1000?

I'd say confinement could work if they got it as children, but as they are developed and have life experiences they know truly what they are missing and what it is costing them. You will never touch another person or feel the love and understanding of another, no caresses no hugs no nothing. It is a death by degreees and a wasting of spirit day by day. It is torture plain and simple a very cruel fate.

I think I'd run too given the circumstances. I would try to not kill anyone if it is even possible. How much do asari have control over embracing eternity after all. It seems to be quite easy to perform and may be instinctual on some level?

It is human to want contact with others of your kind and asari are no different. Socializing is a part of having a healthy psyche. There may be alternatives to Minority Reprting everyone becasue of something they have a potential to do. Great movie with parallels to the Morinth situation. Perhaps BW referenced it in creating the dilemma.

Morinth is a great character wish BW would have done more dialogue for her.

^^^ she kills people with sex so "eew she's evulz" without anyone wanting to know her side of the story, just like the quarians are evil for wanting to control the machines they created.

I find it stupid that if Shepard can't resist Morinth's advances and takes the "can't... think..." option in dialogue, he saves... Samara? The whole point about Morinth and what she is is that she brainwashes people, even on the battlefield. They should have made that happen in the mission too, have Shepard accidently kill Samara. And, lacking sufficient persuation, Morinth is non-recruitable at that point as well. Of course, nobody would like it since it would involve killing Samara who everyone favors anyway. But in it's context though, it made no sense.

I'm guessing the brainwashing takes enough concentration that it didn't have an effect while she was in combat which is probably why Shepard didn't stay brainwashed.

Does anyone else think morinth might be living vicariously through her victims?
