I find it stupid that if Shepard can't resist Morinth's advances and takes the "can't... think..." option in dialogue, he saves... Samara? The whole point about Morinth and what she is is that she brainwashes people, even on the battlefield. They should have made that happen in the mission too, have Shepard accidently kill Samara. And, lacking sufficient persuation, Morinth is non-recruitable at that point as well. Of course, nobody would like it since it would involve killing Samara who everyone favors anyway. But in it's context though, it made no sense.
Agreed. It's almost like being able to resist Morinth's advances puts Shepard into a clairvoyant mental state where he/she is able to realize that Morinth is just as viable a choice as Samara, because, after all, a seduced Shepard does default automatically to Samara...
