I always thought he died when the Normandy was destroyed. But I'd welcome him back. Tali is my head engineer tho not him and if I had to choose I'd take Gabby and Ken over him.

Having Engineer Adams back on the Normandy would be great and Tali would be happy too. Those two had a nice friendship with him seeing and respecting her tech abilities. If my Shepard(s) walks into the engine room and sees him ... Shepard and Tali will grin big at each other!

Doubt it, as it would alienate people who didn't play the first game, which is something we obviously can't have.

He had so little characterization and zero impact on the plot that it wouldn't be a problem for newbies.

This I agree with.  Tali is a good friend and she misses Adams.  He needs to be aboard the Normandy.  Along with Ken and Gabby.

True.  Tali would rather have Adams.  Adams thinks she's amazing.  We really don't know what type of relationship Tali has with Daniels and Donnelly.  The only comments between them are when Donnelly says quarians can't hear in those suits and Tali tells him she heard everything and Tali's comment when Shepard wins at poker.  I don't remember any other comments between them.

We know Tali doesn't like Cerberus and didn't think it was right Cerberus was in charge of the Normandy.

Not really. Of all the characters who we were able to interact with in ME1, only Pressly died. Adams was reassigned along with all other survivors.

Anyway on topic: I support Adams for ME3 but I also want to see Ken and Gabby again. I wonder how they'll do as a team.

I'm hoping for such moments where, during a quiet trip to the next planet, Shepard tours the other decks of the SR-2 to check out the crew only to find a lot of the original SR-1 characters are once again on Shepard's team...

ETA: That goes for certain Cerberus crew members as well. Who knows.. they could've quit Cerberus along with Shepard and Miranda and went back to the Alliance I guess..

When talking to Joker about the original crew, he said most people survived. But pressly didn't. If Adams had died as well, Joker would've said so.

nope, he survived. He's just still Alliance and was reassigned.

We never found Adams' dogtag in the Normandy Crash Site DLC and while it's true that something like a drive core explosion could render that point irrelevant I'd imagine someone would make a passing comment like 'oh, and that named NPC down there is totally dead too, like Pressly'.

Adams would be cool to have back, but I like Ken and Gabby better. I'd rather have them run engineering.

Although with all the possible deaths, I wouldn't be surprised if Adams was on the Normandy. He's apparently got some plot armor. ;-)

Considering we didn't find his dog tags in DLC, and it was never said that he died in the SR-1 crash. It could be possible.

Personally i like Ken and Gab. But i don't have anything against Adams.
