Bioware,

The forums on this social site are less than the forums off of the other site.  The search is useless and the back button is borked.  Anytime I search google for info on the game it digs up the old forums, which redirect me to the new forums, and of course all of the useful information over there is gone.

This is a perfect case of ain't broke, let's break it.  Accordingly, I don't like not being able to click through to see a developer/Bioware employee post in a thread.  Now instead of being able to go right to the response from the company, I have to dig through 11 pages of comments.  That is carp.

All in all, this social site is a big step backwards in usability.  The huge icons are irritating while I am trying to read information on the game.  All I need are the forums, not some pre-built community hoo-ha.

Its obviously to me a long-term thing. When more games from BioWare will come out, having 1 site to re-unite all the community stuff of the Dragon Age and Mass Effect games then I guess this site will be pretty convenient. But still, I don't need either to go on yet another forum. Its a neat though, but it will only be fully worthed it in like a 6 months.

It's a cool idea to setup a Social Site for your games, at the very least it's the in thing to do these days

But this piece of CRAP doesn't even have the basic functions the old forums had.

You can see your not alone http://social.biowar.../6/index/219571 but unfortunatly I don't think EA/Bioware will revert or even fix this lack of features if you read the official FAQ's last question. http://social.bioware.com/help.php

Why doesn't the site/forum have feature ____?
We unfortunately have a limited amount of time and resources to spend on this site - many features would take too long or too many servers to implement, and will likely never be added. That said, we are actively looking for new features to add. Feel free to suggest new features in the forums - our developers do read and consider every suggestion!

worth pointing out: the social site is curently in OPEN BETA, so it's not a "finished product" yet by any means.

It doesn't say Beta on the main title anymore and when you run a Beta, you should keep your production site up.

The idea of the site might be nice. If it didn't have so many bugs and issues, and if the various features such as character uploading and forum searching worked properly, then I would probably really like it.

But seeing as the site appears broken to me on multiple levels, even though the BETA stage is apparently over, I'm just about to give up on it entirely. I'll check for DLC from the game itself, and I'll go to the Nexus for my mods. No reason to be here.

The problem is not uniting all into one site (though there already was unified forum up to ME, so I wonder what's the need to migrate to other, worse ones), but the fact that these forums are simply inferior to the previous ones.
Search is a downgrade, the colour theme is painful and ugly, the width is inferior, there is much more clutter, the refresh is very poor (it takes MINUTES to have the answers to threads to become readable), there is lots of glitches everywhere, there is horrible huge and useless icons everywhere.
And they are really ugly.

What's the point of paying new forums if they're going to be inferiors to the previous ones ? It cost money, displease users and add nothing to the community. I really can't understand this for the life of me.
