so basically what im asking is, to say, get all the recipes, gifts, crafting resources, do i need to do every quest? i would like to be able to cut down alot of the quests if its possible(i havent really looked into all of this)

Does the Black Emporium carry anything that may have been missed or just some items?
You don't have to do 100% of the quests, but many of the ingredients are well hidden and only show up during certain companion quests and other quests that have specific requirements to trigger. Without some kind of walk-through or just being very thorough while exploring, these ingredients are very easy to miss.
Yes, it is annoying how some of the required items are well hidden, and only show up during companion quests or other places where they are easily missed. As I am a completionist and always search every inch of an area and kill every possible enemy, I don't usually miss things, though I think Bioware went a bit out of their way to hide some of these crafting ingredients.
