Hi,

I was just surfing a bit and came across this on the DA Wiki.  I couldn't see that it had been posted here earlier so I thought I'd include the link for anyone interested.

Wow, that's really big! There's a lot to digest here...

One caution: there are a few things in there which Heather either misremembered or which I wasn't clear on. The spirits & demons thing, for instance-- I don't think I said they were fundamentally different. I believe what I said is that the possession was fundamentally different (meaning Anders' situation, in comparison to Connor's situation in DAO, which was the question).

Also I can understand how lyrium could be related to mercury. It's a toxic liquid metal that in ancient times was believed to be a source of immortality and was often used in the ancient practice of alchemy.

Lyrium isn't mercury per se-- I just tend to think of it as being similar in some respects. Refined lyrium, anyhow.

Acccording to David Gaider the speech where you ask Meredith why she hates mages is essential to understanding her character. In that case why do you only get it if you side with Meredith at the beginning of Act 3? Surely that is something that should have been available to anyone, particularly someone who doesn't agree with her as this may change their perception of her motives.

Unless something changed prior to the game going out, you should be able to ask Meredith that same question when the Act 3 quest is given-- her response is different if you've been supporting the mages up to that point, but she still ultimately tells the same story. You do have to ask her, however.

I hope there is a Starkhaven dlc, despite Mike Laidlaw's desire to get out of Kirkwall.

What I actually said was that, as Mike explained at the PAX panel, our desire is to explore
more of the world and show more varied locations in the future-- returning to Kirkwall isn't out of the question, but having another game primarily in Kirkwall (or in any single city) wasn't very likely.
