Hello

I am having a strange slowdown issue with KOTOR 1. normally my fps is around 15-20 or so, annoying but not unplayable. this happens whether i have all my graphics setting as low or as high as they can go. but heres where it gets weird, if during my normal gameplay, where i am getting 15-20 fps, i go into my resolution menu and change it to anything, and i mean anything, my fps shoots up to the high 80s which is absolutely awesome. the fps will go back down though if i make a transition to another are etc. i can even change it a different rez or refresh rate and then change it back and the fps is still really high.

what i would like is for some way to keep the fps that high without having to change my resolution or refresh rate everytime i leave an area.

system specs as follows:

oh and if it matters i do not have the disable vertex objects line in my swkotor.ini or my emitters set to 0
