That voice-over was pretty bad, yikes.

Reminds me more of Demon Souls than Dragon Age.

Exactly what I thought... must be the helmet :P

And does the character do the "ninja run"?

I'm totally ok with this considering it could have been something like Magical Girl Cassandra instead. I got worried when I heard "Funimation", "anime" and "Dragon Age" together but this actually looks promising.

The animation looks really nice.

I think I'd actually prefer a more classical "drawn" animation compared to the "obviously computer generated" look.

Hm. I think I would have preferred a cartoon look. But anything is better than live action.

It's a good find, but I remain skeptical until Mr. Priestly makes it official

This actually is from DA:3. They have eliminated all the drudgery from RPGs. All you have to do is push play and they do the RPGing for you.

Artstyle is similar to DA 2. Probably improvised. I'm not sure. But the sand/desert texture look similar to the one at DA 2's Prologue. The cloud and Sky texture also look similar.

I hope that's fake, because it looks awful.

If that is fake, it's a good one, sans the ridiculous voice over.

I like what I'm seeing so far.

I wouldn´t worry that much about the voice over. Probably a Japanese guy speaking English.

....

Well then. Let's hope they put a lot more time into localizing the English version.

Curious as to what the story's going to be about. Hope all these 'spin-off's of the real game doesn't dilute the quality of the franchise.

Trailer impressions:
Bad voice acting
Unexciting story board, maybe it's not finished yet
Computer generated look doesn't help, prefer hand-drawn look
Fighting style and movement of that knight, too reminiscent of the combat animations in DA2 - jarringly fast and snappy, as if trying to force the perception that the combat is very cool and stylish, which it isn't at all.

Anyhow, looking forward to more Dragon Age story goodness

The credits had the name Jeffrey Scott listed. A quick IMDB search shows that he worked on a lot of animation. It also says that he is the grandson of Moe Howard.

Edit
I guess it is official. Here's the Japanese website and the Anime News Network article that directed me to it.
