ARMOR: Grunt
BARRIER: Adept, Vanguard; Jack, Jacob, Liara, Morinth, Samara
SHIELD: Engineer, Infiltrator, Sentinel, Soldier; All other team members
Likewise, most if not all enemies use weapons and ammo/biotic/tech powers that are (more or less) identical to those wielded by the player and squad members. Most, if not all of these have innate damage multipliers or bonuses against one or more resistance types when used by the player's squad.
Hence the question, do these same bonuses/multipliers against armor/barriers/shields also apply when these weapons/powers are used by enemies against you or your team. Or do enemy weapons, powers, and ammo have universal damage values against all player/squad resistances equally?
Examples:
Will a Collector Guardian (Warp Ammo) or Eclipse Commando (Warp) deal more damage to Samara or Jack (Barrier) than they will to Thane or Miranda (Shield)?
Will an Eclipse Engineer (Incinerate, Carnifex Hand Cannon) deal more damage to Grunt (Armor) than to any of the other team members (Barrier/Shield)?
Also will the Warp, Incinerate, or Incendiary Ammo abilities of various Eclipse or Blue Suns mercenaries prevent Grunt from regenerating?
Would this also mean that +% Health bonuses are actually superior to +%Shield bonuses (even with Hard Shields upgrade) since all enemy weapons and powers will deal at least +25% or more damage to your shield/barrier than they will to your health?
Finally, does this also mean that even sub-optimal teams for given mission may actually be more effective than one otherwise might conclude, given the specific weapons, powers, and ammo abilities of the enemies encountered?
