Yes, I didn't mean to disable the whole thing - that is probably easy enough via control panel somewhere. Rather, I wondered if it was possible to disable for the exe that starts NWN so I don't get the popup box when starting the game.
I had a look around a few days ago, but didn't find anything that solved it. Hardly the biggest problem in the world, but it would be nice if it didn't pop up each time.
Must Have mods for NWN (for a new player)

Hmmm...that is a really strange phenomena you are witnessing! I run NWN with my Windows 7 Ultimate and it does not constantly ask for the UAC. It did on install, but after I set it to run with Admin, it runs without the UAC popup.
Strange, indeed.
You have set it to run with Admin rights, right?

Hmmm...I just checked.
I get that popup as well. So scratch what I posted before.
Further research shows that it is impossible to turn this function off for a specific program. One can either turn it all off (disable UAC) or one has to live with the popup.

I'm late posting to this thread, but another place to get a good idea of what modules you might like to play is the NWN Reviewers' Guild. Their forum contains links to all their module reviews.

Oh. That sucks. At least with antivirus programs and such we can set exclude lists. Same with firewalls. Then again, Microsoft do make horrible software and solutions when it comes to things like this.
Tried without running as admin again (after a reinstall), but then I get the *blink* and quit when trying to launch the game.
It's odd because I'm not getting this with any other games I run. Is nwn.exe doing some funky business?

This may or may not help.
Under Properties -> Compatibility, I have NWN set to run under Windows XP (Service Pack 3) Compatibility Mode. I have also checked Disable Visual Themes and Disable Desktop Composition.
There is also an option somewhere called Data Execution Protection which used to prevent all non-Microsoft programs from running in XP (I think it's off by default in Windows 7). You might check to see if for some reason you have that turned on. I would tell you were to find it, but, ironically, Windows 7 is screwing up for me when I look in Control Panel (Explorer keeps crashing).
