I did the same thing you did with one of my Shepards, hoping for a catfight of the century. My Shepard loves Jack and he'll ALWAYS pick her over Ashley. And he'll say that to her face all renegade-like. >

Kaidan dated some doctor on the Citadel. How did he stay faithful? Ash never mentioned if she dated anyone or not. From her message I doubt it.LadyofRivendell wrote...
I'd imagine you'll have a can of worms to pick up. Your ME1 LI managed to stay faithful, even after thinking you were dead for two years (at least, that's the case with Kaidan and Liara. Not sure about Ashley because I've never saved or romanced her).

Truth, Kaidan did date a little but it seems like nothing came from it. We are unsure about Ashley but I'd imagine she had a similar situation just didn't bother mentioning it. Liara stayed faithful mainly because she recovered your body and Cerberus told her they were going to try and bring you back so she probably help out hope on that.
Back to the OP, more then likely it'll be something similar to ME1 when you start flirting with Liara and the VS and they corner you to make a decision. If I was a betting man It would be something like this or it would be something that would get cleared up during your first private convo with the VS on the Normandy.

I don't think the terms faithful/unfaithful are even necessary when the couple had only knew each other for a couple of months and then one of them died.ladyvader wrote...

And that's worst import, so don't worry about fate of this Shepard, he's already doomed

The things Ashley/Kaidan accuse you of on Horizon are very serious. (Leaving out Liara since you can resolve her setiation in LotSB). They speak of betrayal of everything you were supposed to stand for and don't hide their dissapointment in what you've become. All the while they don't even give you chance to explain things yourself. I tried to put myself in Shepard's shoes when I met Ashley on Horizon. Out of all people, I expected her to understand.
After that, it was easier to find comfort in someone else's arms. But if I was faced with another option between her and my current interest, who my Shepard really cares about with some new facts presented in ME3, I would reconsider my options. It may not be the most ethic way to go around it, but to me it doesn't seem right to persist in some sort of loyalty after being so flatly rejected.
Of course, I do think that those unfortunate enough that remained faithful there should be some sort of reward.

I am offended at your ufortunate coment because I stayed faithful to ash. I do not think that harsh word on horizon justify cheating at all, and any players who used that for an excuse have very weak personalities. I am sure that there are better excuses for cheating on vs than using horizon which was no more that a lovers argument.

But, cheating? You were "dead" for 2 years, you've no knowledge of (for the sake of argument, let's pretend Ashley is the love interest) of Ashley's loyalty to you, you're accused of treason and flatly rejected by her and presumably about to die. I expected better from someone who claimed to have loved me.

We all expected better. But lets take a realife context, when I argue with my girl she calls me names and insults me and does rarely ever listen to my facts or side, so If I was to take context of people being pisswed of at ashley for calling shepard a traitor and ignoring his side of story, which he never even offered to explain to ash, i should then break up mwith my girl because she does not listen to my side. Instead I decided to bring my own principles to the game, Yes I have arguments with my girl and yes she ignores me most of the time when we argue, but in the end she is always there for me, same as ashley was in ME 2. The eail she sent is proof of that. On horizon she was emotional and owewhelmed with the situation to realise what she was saying. Also did not help that shepard was doing the same.
