Wynne has Mana Clash, so I went into tactics and set Enemy: Nearest Visible Mage > Use Mana Clash. Now, to a normal person, this means: use mana clash on a mage. But Wynne is using it on everything BUT mages. I'm fighting deepstalkers and she just goes and mana clashes them. I'm fighting darkspawn and she mana clashes everything but the emissaries.

Is there any work around? I thought about using Enemy: Using attack magic, but I thought that only works if the character actually get's attacked by it.

The mage class of enemy is quite broad, as I discovered when I tried the same tactic with Arrow of Slaying in Leliana's tactics menu.

I'm fairly certain that "mage" class includes regular mages, darkspawn emissaries, shrieks, certain ogres, certain classes of zombie corpses, and probably other types of enemy. I never noticed that any deepstalkers were targetted as a mage, but it could well be.

The only way around it that I was able to find was to control Leliana in combat. So as a suggestion, I would say take control of Wynne when you need to activate Mana Clash.

Use the "Enemy: Using Attack Type: Magic" condition. That one has worked pretty well for me when trying to get my guys to focus-fire mages.

Yes, that sounds like it would work. I'll have to try it with Leliana, as well.
