I have searched the forum, and read the windows 7 guide - BUT it doesnty seem to discuss my problem. I have a brand new win7 64 machine, I switched off my firewall, anti virus, UAC etc. and pop the cd in - starts running, installshield wizard starts, bllue progress line moves half way and then it simply disappears and nothing else happens.

Worked Ok on my old machine.

I found that the Windows unzipping utility screwed up the install files on SoZ. Using 7zip to unzip them instead fixed the problem. I think the Win unzipper has a 4gb file size limit and goes wonky if the file is bigger, and of course, no error message :/

Same problem of Bobbins66 here. Win7 64bit. I tried to run setup.exe in compatibility mode (xp sp2), with admistrator rights; disabled antivirus, uac ... I tried to run setup with window in safe mode, too. Everytime i get "installshield wizard starts, bllue progress line moves half way and then it simply disappears and nothing else happens."

Problem solved. I have disabled DEP in EMET, rebooted and the installation went fine.
