You mean Gillian Grayson. She'll be starring in the fourth Mass Effect novel, actually. I wouldn't exactly say she's a 'woman' though -- she'll still be a minor by the time the game's events commence. I can't speak for others but both my personal canon Shepards would have strong reservations of sending a sixteen-year-old girl onto the field of death even in the midst of a war for survival.

Yeah, that's a good point. We don't know what will happen in Deception. 

I'd love to see her cameo as part of a mission against Cerberus (or even as a temporary squaddie), but I don't think Gillian's the type for military combat and end-of-universe-battles. Not just because she's 16 but because she's also an emotional wreck looking for stability.

Six months my ass.  Try more like four tops.  They need to get all the discs published and that takes time. Same with QA.  That also takes time.  I see them being completely done and into QA mode by the end of Oct.  With 1000 different choices/varibled they need to do a lot of QA testing to make sure the import works properly.   Everything has to be in stores before 5 March.  I'm almost certain there will be a midnight release.

We have exactly, five months, one week, two days, twelve hours, and 25 minutes by my laptop's clock.

With a Turian (Garrus) already on the squad I don't think we'll get a femTurian sadly. Although the banter between them could be hilarious. Were missing a Krogan on our team! Although having a female Krogan on the squad would be just as unlikely with the genophage... unless she's infertile I guess...

Well you got the boat part right. At the end of ME3, Shep and your chosen LI are going to be on Kahje in that boat about 50 feet from the Normandy as it rests in the water. Shep is going to stand up and yell "WE'RE HAVING A BABY!"  The scene moves inside the Normandy as Kasumi asks Wrex what is going on outside. Wrex will respond "Shepard looks very angry" We pan back out to the boat as you and your LI embrace each other as an unknown alien in a small fighter disintergrate the both of you. Wrex begins to cry furiously.

Back on topic,

If this unknown female did turn out to be a human and the statements of a smaller squad hold up, could it be that Vega and this female complement the Virmire survivor? You saved Ashley and get Vega or you save Kaidan and get this female, that sort of thing.

I hope she's a turian. It would be doubly cool if she were a lesbian, but the cynic in me refuses to believe BW would ever make a S/S-only LI, so I suppose her being bi would be fine.

The codex mentioned how many turians have taken up Buddhism and Confuscianism, so I think it'd be interesting if she had a zen-like quality to her, or if she meditated like Samara.

Honestly, as long as she isn't an asari or a human, I'll be happy.

I don't think they'd do that. Vega got his own comic and everything - why would they introduce him to us so early to say, "Oh, Kaidan is your VS? No Vega for you, then!"

Im pretty sure she will be temp. squadmate but i doubt she will be recruitable.  If Aria will help you, i would rather see her recruiting mercs instead.
