I see that Morinth is doing it for survival, I don't know what she think about it, I am looking at her from my point of view, I'm not convincing myself.

Prove it.

Its not survival at all. She doesn't have to do it for any survival purposes. Morinth does it because it is a very very very very addictive act. It is possible Morinth could abstain but it would never last.

Yes she does have to do that for survival purposes.

Prove it.

If she doesn't become stronger by killing people, and if she doesn't  use people Samara will be stronger and will kill her. After Samara is dead? Well she hasn't killed anyone so far.

Well you said it yourself - stupid.

Morinth could have killed/tortured/raped Shepard back at her appartment after Samara was dead. She had her chance.

Morinth doesn't strike me as stupid, only as bold. So basically that's her screwup. She didn't want to kill Shepard.

Morinth knew what she was doing and wanted to kill Shepard. She doesn't strike me as stupid either.

 =]

I don't know what Paradox-Morinth you are talking about then. Killing Shep on the ship = stupid.

Morinth likely felt confident she could escape. Seriously it isn't like she didn't know she could kill Shepard.

Hahaha..ha

Edi: Shepards lifesigns have failed.
*Morinth flies through the airlock.

That is not any justification at all. The first time she used her abilities wasn't a form of survival. It was her acting on her urge. Her condition isn't a matter of survival its a matter of addiction period.

Why not? Morinth made sure EDI can't monitor the room. Its quite possible Morinth could escape without anyone actually knowing that Morinth killed Shep.

The first time she used her abileties was probably: Yay I'm in love! Let's meld! Oh Sh*t! What is wrong with me??

You can't escape an basically alive ship. Edi in an unshakeled AI. Where can Morinth walk out of the room?

Samara seemed to imply that Morinth fleed even before she used her abilities. The doctor told her about her daughters condition already.

It is possible but remember this is Morinth who feels she can take on anything after draining the most badass person i nthe Galaxy. Plus it is likely she only lives to quench her addiction and Shepard would possibly the ultimate high. She isn't necessarily stupid but maybe didn't care about living or dying afterward.

In either case Morinth does everything due to being genetically predisposed of her addiction not out of survival.

Yeah, and I have some land in a lovely place called "Atlantis".  Would you like to buy some?  I said it, so it must be true.
Pay no attention to the fact that it would serve my self-interest to lie about it.

1) When did Samara say that she warned Morinth?
2) Why does that have to mean that Morinth didn't fall in love and see what happened?

I'm just going to post this from the different thread that I posted:

It's speculation. And from what we know from the game we react differently.
What do you think I am a masohist or something? You think I want to have a crappy swuad member for lolz? You think that I want a squad member that doesn't care about me and doesn't respect me? I don't, but I can paint Morinth to be a good squad member right know.

Samara specifically said "when she FLED she proved her addiction." That likely means she told her daughters and they were sent into seclusion. Obviously Morinth said screw that and ran.

Seriously though guys. I will be quite surprised if saving Morinth will bite me in the ass in ME3. And by that I mean if Morinth herself will bite.

Morinth knew it would kill shepard plain and simple, as for how she could escape after killing him well the most obvious plan would be to use her powers on joker and get him to land somewhere

That's what Samara thinks. It would be nice if I could ask Morinth about that in depth.

So Samara THINKS she fled and she THINKS that Morinth killed someone?

I'm sure Morinth believes she was running away to freedom and in a way that is correct. But freedom is different than melding with someone after you knew you were a danger and killing them.

Ok so you guys understand where I'm coming from - This is what I myself would do if I was an Asari and if I was an Ardat-Yakshi:

If I was an Ardat-Yakshi I would aslo go away from seclusion and live as I please. I would choose to be celebate, but if a justicar came after me I would START melding in order to harness power to defeat the justicar. I would use all the nescecery resourses to stop the justicar and I would blame it on them, because if they left me alone I wouldn't do that. If I had to kill a city of inocent people I would, and not even so much for survival as to show the justicar that it is all on their hands, that if they wouldn't come I would still be celebate, and if they leave me alone I would stop. Now beyond this point I can imagine that I would start to get addicted, and that is all thanks to the justicar. If I killed the justicar, I would try to stop.

That isn't at all how it happened and you know it. Morinth knew she was an Ardat yakshi and fled from seclusion period. Samara probably wasn't even a Justicar at that point.

Edit: You can't blame someone else for the reason You are killing many many many people out of pleasure not survival. That is idiotic and anyone who believes that is retarded.

YES damnit. Morinth fled from seclusion and that is perfectly fine, I'm by her side!

She is killing for survival! Pleasure came afterwards, blame Samara for that.

Yeah but you have to think about it from Morinth's perspective, she was 40 so thats like a teenager by asari standards, everyone is out to kill you because of something you can't control and all you can think about is if you mate with someone it could give you the strength to protect yourself, no i'm not trying to justify the obvious horrible things shes done, but if the condition is as addictive as samara makes it sound then we shouldn't look at her as a monster but with pitty as she is just a super charged junkie who will do anything to get her fix
