Unwilling is more like it. She enjoys the hunt and the inevitable feast that follows.

Imposible to say, we know that her condition is a huge factor in her desire, but appart from that she was doomed when she escaped. It would be the same for her sisters, if they run away, they would end like Morinth

It is possible to say. It's the way she works her victems. She lures them with intimacy and kills them with intimacy. If you cut out the fact the people who love her die, she just look like a person who has a lot of suitors. You can see how she does it, she just lures them in anf just has sex with them. If it was just her, then she would add other thing to the mix, like bounding them and torchering them like a serical killer would do. She get off their pleasure not their pain. If It was pain, why did she not try to intencifi it. She could of drug Shepard and then torchered him slowly and felt the full feeling of him pain but she just tried to jump on him like a hungry cat.mauro2222 wrote...

But Mornith can use her own form of mind control to send people off to fight the reapers which I do not think her Mother could.
Sigh if only they made Morinth go after serial killers instead of artists, I mean that whole choice between her and Samara would have been more interesting.

I skipped the last 5 or so pages, but has anyone brought up the point that at any time, if Morinth chose to stop killing, her trail would go cold very rapidly and Samara would not be able to track her any more?
The only reason that Samara is even capable of tracking down Morinth is because Morinth keeps killing.
Of course, according to Samara Morinth can't NOT kill, because of the addiction. She can go cold turkey for decades, but eventually the impulse pushes back up.

Welcome to the world of addiction. From personal experience, I know that for most people to overcome their addiction (of any sort) they must reject something that was previously a part of their lives, including, but not limited to, all of their old friends and associations.I'm not say she could not gone killed all those people she killed, just that not doing it what she did she would of cut off a huge part of herself. Additionally, you cannot be addicted to something that you never used, or did not use on more than one occassion. Morinth is not addicted solely based on her condition, she is addicted because she chose to indulge her condition. You can have a loving and caring relationship without sex, even if sex is usally a significant part of most loving relationships. Morinth knows the consequences of what she does, and has known from the beginning, before the addiction could take root, yet she allowed it anyways.

The genetic defect likely lead her to that point. If you are genetically predisposed to like an act that involves killing someon it is highly likely you would grow to love it instead of hate it if you keep doing it.

No she doesn't have to kill anyone to keep living, she kills because she wants to, not because she's able to. And she does drug people and use her psychic powers to make her victims accept her "gift". And yes, killing someone is vey intimate, that doesn't justify it at all however.
What kind of sick puppies do we have on this forum anyway? Seriously don't pee on me and tell me it's raining.

Well not to be too specific but its quite possible the only way Morinth will stop killing is to isolate herself or kill hersel. She can obstain but it can never be perfect due to her condition so yes. She likely cannot permanently stop killing as long she is around others. The rest is a after effect of killing people. Morinth will learn more effective way of killing without so much collateral damage.

2. You not understanding. This is not the same as any other addiction. With other addiction you can cut it off with out having tocut off personal emotions to do it. For Mornith to break her addiction, she has to destroy a very personal part of any intelligent living being has...Intimacy. This means no love, no closeness to anyone, and no deep friendships. She can't get close to anyone. If you want to know how that feel, try to live a life with no interaction with anyone and you'll understand how maddening it is. Add on the fact she is an asari and she can be attracted to anyone and that just put more gas in the fire. The lack of intimacy has a tendency of leading to maddness. It not just not having sex Mornith has to do to break her addiction, it's the fact that she has to break the lure of intimacy because intimacy brings in the want to have sex.
And anyone or you live a life with no intimacy?

So say I am born with a defect of soem sort and I go on the run. Along the way I come across your mother, and I kill her because I like it. If your arguement holds together, I did it because it was the only way for me to truely live. I didn't have to kill her, but I really wanted to.
Does that make any sense whatsoever?
Morinth coudl have just as easily gone into hiding, living below the radar, because it is infact he rpenchant for "dectructive freedom" that gets her caught in the first damn place. Your logic is flawed, and your common sense is waining.
I'm not say she could not gone killed all those people she killed, just that not doing it what she did she would of cut off a huge part of herself. Remeber, she kills people though one of the most intence intimate actions. She does not drug them and murder them slowly, or anything other serial killers do. The ultimate form of intimacy she has avalible to her...kills them. Everyone who calls her evil forgets that fact.
This would mean no deep friendships, no love, and no close relationships.
I'm not saying she need to kill. I'm say her choice was ether no intimacy or kill people with sex.

Violence and death is all she has left. Heck, if you look at her mothers back ground you'll see that it a family trait.mauro2222 wrote...

She could of drug Shepard and then torchered him slowly and felt the full feeling of him pain but she just tried to jump on him like a hungry cat.
It's clear that the only reason she is a serial killer is because the only form of intimacy she has kills people.
You are forgetting that Morinth likes violence and death, and this is not a secondary effect of her illness.
She is sick and plus twisted.
It's more of the fact she just enbraces it instead of being in denial about it. Alot of you crew is like this as well.

Who ever said that I did not want Morinth to die? I understand that she need to die but only because she is too dangerous not evil. I'm just saying that she is not really evil in the sense everyone like you think she is. She's also a victem as well. Give the choice victem or not, I would kill her myself anyway. The Spamming Troll wrote...
morinth doesnt deserve to live more then anyone shes previously killed. she deserves to live less.
i wouldnt excuse a serial killer of their murders, for any reason. im not sure why anyone would defend morinths killings. its a little out of touch looking for reaons why morinth is "an alright person."
