Yes.

If that work then there would be little to no crime in society simply because people are free. Everyone wants something more than freedom AY are no different. Some AY will be celebate other won't. The ones that won't are the biggest problems are far more dangerous than the average serial killer. Its like letting a bunch of blood mages loose. A single AY that has melded could influence a few politicians.

Treating AY like every other asari. Teaching AY to love and respect others and that their mating would kill, so they hold themselves together. Have AY identify somehow so that everybody would know them when they see them. Have everybody respect and care for AY because it is not always easy for them to hold on.

That is stupid and will only happen in a Fantasy world. Actually even many fantasy worlds aren't that naive. Plus all AY have to do is remain celebate. It would be hard as hell but it isn't something that the Asari should rearrange there entire society around to help this small minority. Plus it won't change things. there will always be AY who will kill and murder constantly. That is a very real risk that has happened in history. The Asari doesn't want to make the same mistake twice.

That is the biggest problem of the modern society. They don't listen to minorities and there are a LOT of different minoreties in different aspects that are being pissed off. If people would think about minoreties everything would be better.

The risk is minimum when one has a healthy life.

That is a different issue. Freedom is the beggining.

I wouldn't say that they are powerful biotics, just that they can use them. Not to sell them short but no Krogan Battlemaster's biotics can hold a candle to a 400 year old Asari as powerful as a Matriarch. Zaeed fighting Morinth close quarters is a whole different ballgame. Then again as was already stated this is all just speculation on our part.

Remember biotics get more powerful with training. Krogan Battlemasters are known as some of the best warriors in the galaxy and many of them are likely over a thousand years old. Remember Skarr? He punched a 4 ton APC into the air using his biotics. Krogan Battlemasters are strong biotics.

Without trying to sound like the devils advocate, but HIV/AIDS sufferers get by just fine without human society reshaping itself to accomodate their needs. Unprotected intercourse with a HIV/AIDS sufferer can be every bit as damaging as intercourse with an AY just over a much longer timescale (and less soul-sucking-out-through-your-eyeballs).

Many people DO end up being infected by a carrier who knew he was infected but refused to reveal it, and yet we don't have any death squads/concentration camps/mass hysteria over their existance.

Fantasy worlds might not be so "naive" but the real world is, by your definitino, very naive ;)

(None of this let's morinth off the hook BTW, she's still a murderous **** xD - just establishing a baseline for comparsion sake)

Agreed. I just think an Asari would be exponentially more powerful since they are natural biotics.

Not an accurate comparison. Those infected with HIV and AIDs aren't able to convince an entire village to kill someone. Ardat Yakshi's aren't all bad but it only takes a minority to become a very large danger to society.

So if you were an AY and you were treated like all other asari, you would go and inslave villages? Good to know.

They likely would in general but some Krogan Battlemasters could likely be 2,000 years old. If they have been using Biotics most of there life I would put them at least on the level of a Matriarch in biotic ability.

Ardat Yakshi do that? (Well, yeah I forget she has "dominate" as her unique power. I just don't remember any mention of that being the prime concern for the Asari)

Kain does have a point that every class has a dangerous power - well, not so much my Shep, I'm a sentinel (I'm gonna murder you with my tech armour!), whether they use it sociopathiclly is up to them. Any biotic could in theory murder the crap out a village but most do not.

So if I say minority of AY you automatically assume I am talking about what I would do if I was a AY or that is what all AY would do? Search for the definition of Minority then we can talk.

The difference is, once someone with an STD sleeps with someone, they aren’t compelled by addiction to continue doing it. They don’t stalk and hunt for someone with the proper traits to make them stronger. Someone who has the STD may decide to pass it along out of some anger or revenge or whatever--but there isn’t a addictive compulsion to do so. So, that analogy doesn’t apply.

That is likely one of the main reasons. Also the possibility of there existence getting out into the Galaxy at large would hurt there image badly.

Letting the galaxy know about AY is a must on my list. If they don't they deserve all the sh*it they get from people like Morinth.

Considering that AY have done such things in the past if we take the AY codex at face value, then yes, AY do act like monsters in a society where they aren't locked up.

Well then deal with those that do. Not all of them are.

There always people who want to kill or steal or anything. People want all the time. You can't stop that desire. Plus there are people who can easily just have a mental illness and kill due to that.

You act like that is easy. They attempted to deal with Morinth. Its not easy at all. The person who could be sent to deal with them can easily be mind controlled.

That is again a different issue. A one that CAN be solved. People are just too selfish and lazy to do it.

Make AY justicars then. No possesions, respect and awesome powers to fight injustice.

No, because you're sacrificing innocent people when you could have stopped them early on. Or have you forgotten that they get stronger every time they meld?

Consider for a moment that Asari history has been living in what are essentially city states and seeking to understand others instead of the constant war and struggle like Humans or Krogan. These passive, understanding people came to the conclusion that it's best for everyone to lock up the AY before they go around slaughtering people.

It all comes down to selfishness imo.
