Not really considering the choices the Asari had given her could of been a lot worse. Like killing her as soon as she was discovered to be an Ardat-Yakshi.

EVEN that would be more merciful for Morinth than going to seclusion. But she wasn't murdered on the spot.

Your idea of merciful is offensive. Like really offensive. How old are you?

Being in seclusion is different to being in prison.

For YOU yes. For Morinth it doesn't matter, not only that but both she considers to be worse than death.

Why not? I do it every bloody day. No sex, no dating, nothing beyond talking to my family which she would've still been allowed. Living without sex is not the horrific challenge you make it out to be.

That is not the main chalange for her. It is living in seclusion that is.

Like I said, how is that the problem? She never gave it a chance.

She did. She was asked to die or to go to seclusion. The fact that she is alive means that FIRST she went to seclusion to save her life and then ran away.

Um, no. The game pretty obviously says that she chose run when presented with her choice. She didn't go into seclusion first.

I already said that running is not freedom. Running when you are weak is also not that easy.

But it IS possible. There is always a choice, but rarely is the right choice the easy choice.

How many more time. Ok YOU are given a choice:

1) You die
2) You live a life that is worse than death
3) You kill other people so that you don't die and live a more or less interesting life.

So what makes my life any more valuable than the people I kill? How is making my life 'interesting' justification for taking away the lives of others? Who says they weren't troubled individuals trying to live a normal life?

Simple...Because it's you life...Your only life. Why would you or anyone want to suffer a life of endless suffering because you have to denie yourself of all the nature part of life? Would you really be able to hadle that burden of force self denial?

Thing is though, who says that the AY who live in seclusion are suffering?

Would a person who is force to seclusion ever be happy with it?
Think of it this way, Life sentences are really death sentence....Your never going to see the outside world again. The only way out is death, only that you have to wait to die. Your basically dead to the world. It maybe easier in Mornith case if she is with family, but her sister also can be a constant reminders of her condition.  Let not forget it's forced. Anything you want to do in life by choice is over. If you had any dream of becoming someone.....It's gone. The most you can do is what ever distraction you have available to you, the people you can interact with, and whom ever you can talk to on another side of a computer screen(vis LotSB, we now that last on is very limited as well.)
In truth, it would be a very lonely exsistance.

After killing Samara, in Samara's voice."I'm a dead ringer for my mother," Mornith bosted,"I'm adepting acting.....how else do you think I got a way?".

Those are good points, the only problem is we are thinking of how humans do life sentences. We don't know how asari would do it.

He seems very uptight about the entire thing. Morinth is no better then a Vampire who must feed regularily to survive. But her case is even more messed up, as she does it for the simple pleasure of it.

It may have started innocent enough, escape and all that, but she decided to go down the path of becoming a murdering monster. Esaping was fine, it's the killing that I frown on. Doesn't matter how she started, the matter of fact is that it is an addiction now.

She can't help it anymore. Putting her down like the beast she has become would be a mercy kill to her. She's a monster and she knows it, but she can't help it. Like a child who enjoys pulling the wings off a fly.

If I am given only those three choices, then I choose #2.

However, in fact Morinth has a 4th choice - to run and not kill people.  She chooses to kill people, which makes her a monster and responsible.

The genetics made her a danger.  What she chose to do with her life made her a monster.

It is the fact that she has the choices and chooses to be a serial murderer that makes her a monster.

Not liking your other choices doesn't make it OK to murder people.  If you choose to murder people, you are responsible for that choice.

That applies to Morinth, it applies to Garrus (Saleon, Sidonis), Thane (rationalizing away responsibility for his assassinations), Miranda (Niket), Mordin (Maelon), Jack (Aresh), Zaeed (refinery workers) and it applies to Shepherd.

"So and so made me do it" is not a valid argument, outside of mind control.

You have the choice of ending that anytime. With her it's FOREVER. Also, she would have to cut of friend because of the fact Asari can be atracted to anyone and friendship would rist sexual intimacy.
I don't see how anyone can match something to something that is temporay and say it's the same as something that's perminant.
Saying"I can do it for alittle while, so Mornith should be able to do it forever." Is not a strong arguement.

Maybe it will come to that. But I'm not doing that until I show her all sides of friendship and kill all the justicars that come for her.

But I already said that in order for somebody to desire to be nice to others, that person needs to be shown nice.

Well sorry if my english dictionary doesn't let me make it sound more mature. Because that is the most important thing right now.
