False comparison. All AY are in a way already blood mages at the start (in ability not morality). They probably kill AY who actually kill others. If Morinth actually wanted to abstain she could have stayed off the grid. Samara was tracking her through her kills. Also it seems that some mages aren't killed when the escape from certain circles.
No...It's spot on. I'm look at the crime they may do...not what they are. AY on the run are not the same as blood mages...Why? Because being a blood mage is a crime, not being an AY. The only crime an AY would be hunted for is killing by gross neglect. The thing that would make them equal to blood mages is just them killing with sex. You that if she sayed abstain she would not be hunted...Then that's my point....
The main reason why Blood mages are dangerous is because they can influence the mind of anyone including kings. AY are exactly the same. That is the reason being a blood mage is a crime and its the main reason why an AY using her abilities is a crime. The time a AY uses her ability makes her the Mass effect equivalent of a Blood mage in mind control abilities.
If that is your original point then why use the Blood mage comparison? The only time AY are the same as Blood Mages is when they use there ability which kills someone and helps them use there mind control abilities. Blood mages are hunted for the exact same things.
