It just seems weird to me that her chest's of an average size when she's probably been doing so much exercise and gone through so much physical trauma that they've probably been masectomied at least twenty times by relativistic slug. The boob-plates, not to mention, are rather unnecessary. Do any mods fix this, or at least let me change Femshep's breast plates to something less gratuitious?

Just remember in armor she is probably adding 1-2 inches of armor and tech between the breast and the outside of the armor, which will make them seem larger......just saying.

Yes, but there's no need for separate pieces of armour just for her breasts.

It goes with the science fiction setting.

Which reminds me, while we're doing a lorimasectomy on Femshep, how might one go about affecting a whorsectomy on Miranda?

But that's an even worse excuse. It's obvious in the ME3 design that there are gaps in the armour caused by her breasts. Gaps into a soft suit that would probably leave some nasty burn-streaks when she inevitably gets hit head-on by a flamethrower. Are nanobots so prevalent that this doesn't matter?

Welcome to scifantasy. It's what they do. The fans are nerds who want ******, and that's what they get.

IMO that's crossing the fiction line too much. I maintain that it's a simple design matter. People rationalize but there is no reason to rationalize everything. Sometimes a game is just a game.Amitabh wrote...

Well at least she wears armor - unlike Samara and Jack! I can well imagine that femshep actually wears some very nice sexy undies beneath that armor of hers
) She is very fit and athletic and I know I would if I were her

I find that the Cerberus Assault Armor is actually the most 'realistic' in terms of this. It definitely 'smallens' or flattens the breasts, there is just a hint of them in the torso chest plate. Miranda's DLC Cerberus armor achieves a similar effect.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...You can't talk about my fiancé that way! Take that back! (Sorry: "O' Brother Where Art Thou?" reference.)
Seriously though, I agree. It does seem ridiculously impractical. Nice to look at in a weird perverse sort of way, but completely unbelievable, impractical, and a whole host of other negative adjectives. About the only "rationalization" I could come up with is that she comes off as being the "perfect woman" with all the genetic mods and such that she is really completely insecure about her identity and womanhood and she goes completely off the deep end and tries to tramp it up by wearing something shocking and inappropriate for day-to-day combat use to draw attention away from what's on the inside. I'm probably just reaching there.... One of the funniest parts in the game was when that Asari woman says something about waiting for Miranda to finish getting dressed, because she can't believe Cerberus lets her whorse-around in that outfit. Hahaha!! I had tears in my eyes. (Sorry, the forums wouldn't let me use the who-- word used in the game.)
Kind of like the little teeny-boppers that want to shock their parents by wearing short little hootchie-mama miniskirts and vinyl tops for "going out to parties and such" with sky-high stilettos and it is attire only suitable for behind-closed-doors type activities, or for more mature ventures, hopefully many many years in the future. (Thank goodness I didn't have any daughters. I'd be dead of a coronary already.)
So, don't get me wrong: I'm a man, I'm not blind. But some "designs" are better left off the gaming screens and left to the more fringe-oriented parts of the internet. I like Miranda; she was my favorite ME2 character, with Tali and Grunt and Garrus coming in right behind, but I thought her "image" was a little misguided. Jack was bad enough. But, "sex sells" as they say, and it didn't stop me from enjoying the game (and wouldn't have, if I had known ahead of time).
Tali was a much better portrayal, I thought, of what feminine should be in a game, but ME3 will have the enviro-suit problem worked out and will probably have her running around in a tiny nightie when the ship is attacked unexpectedly and she has to escape for her life! Because she's happy to be free and will go off the deep end and start wearing dominatrix outfits to impress Shepard.

@Baramon
Nah, she is just still rebelling against her father. He is a rich man, who wanted her to be perfect, and would expect certain high quality dress, ie high fashion and so Miranda says, "OH, YEAH!!! Well I am going to walk around in a leather/rubber jumpsuit to show YOU!!!!!!!" Total father rebellion in action, if he wanted her to be a ****, she would be in full armor that hides everything.
