I am unable to access my old BioWare account. Is it gone for good? I had my CD Keys for NWN1 and NWN2 registered and assumed they would be available.

See the thread/announcement regarding the Hacking of the Authentication Server. Just posted an update.

Thanks for the quick replybut I was not referring to the authentication server. I don't play online BC I've never met anyone worth playing with. That said, I was referring to the old forums. My account from the old forum, the one I was required to post my CD keys to in order to post, doesn't work. I'll admit I haven't logged on in quite a while, but I am back and was hoping to review some older posts.

Oh well, as it is with everything, all will end everything.

Ghowriter, I recall you from long ago. You must be able to recall that, while I may be irreverent, I would never direct you to a post that didn't hold an answer to the question asked. You should go and read that post, you know, 'cause you been away a while and you probably forgot that the authentication server also holds the CD-Keys and the legacy forums. So to that post go, anon.

And what kamal said.

Welcome back!

You should consider buying a steam version of the game (with all expansions).  Cheap, and no more disk or keys to worry about!

I did read part of it, the first few paragraphs anyway. I suppose I'll now eat crow and go read the rest. What's funny is that when skimming your response I read irreverent as irrelevant and was gonna go all defensive. Oops... LOL

I should have read through it because I didn't know that the AS (authentication server) held all that info. Being an experienced  IT tech I would have thought a company like BioWare would know better than to keep that kind of information on a publically accessible server. It's like the first thing they teach first year techs.

They no more keys sounds interesting, but Steam is not for me. I visited the site a while back at the request of a friend and found it not to my liking. Thanks for the input, though.

I am glad I made enough of an impression that you recall me (albeit slightly) dunniteowl, I just hope you forgot why... LOL

I am an owl with updated memory. The newer chips allowed me to expand my data bank-like structures and still make it sound like my head's hollow when you rap upon it. Bong - ong - ong -- ng.

Yeah, I think the primary server and database were migrated to a single unit after the EA buyout and changeover -- they're "legacy" forums after all and the CD Keys are for an "old" game, so...

still, in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Last Action Hero:
Big Mistake.
