Do you have to be an elf from the Alienage? That wouldn't make sense either. Fang is the only dagger with that much damage output. I'd love to get my paws on that blade.
How exactly do you obtain the Fang dagger? Anyone?

I read up on this, but all the info on this dagger is vague. I'm on PS3 so I'm not worried about the PC bug. I think I've played Origins at least a few dozen times and I don't remember a bribe offer in the game. The only thing that comes to mind is the merchant in Lothering to get people away from his cart.

Fang can only be legitimately obtained by a City Elf Warden. It is given to the PC by Cyrion (the Warden's father) after "Unrest in the Alienage". The bribe referenced is offered to the PC and Soris by Vaughan, during the origin story (40 gold, IIRC, for leaving Shianni and the other Elven women behind); if the PC accepts the bribe, Cyrion will not give her/him the dagger.
