Yes the movie is out now and your not overreacting to a couple of pictures.  And yes anyone who has seen Halle Barry's Catwoman can react that way.  Honestly its like your basing your decision on whose better purely on looks.

The mask and ears are terrible. She's skinny as hell. I'm just baffled by this design. She looks like a 1970's dominatrix, which she does in the comics I know, but I had expected Nolan to bring her out of campville.

I had hoped her suit would have hi tech/ military design motifs. She doesn't look like a capable anti-hero at all.

I dont hate hate Halle Berry. I hate the movie, Halle Berry is the lone bright spot, but even she couldn't save that laughable action thriller. It was barely a film -- it's more like a music video-slash- TV-commercial- slash-computer game. The kind of movie that almost guarantees the loss of a few I.Q. points.

A standard black jumpsuit is a closer fit to Catwoman's classic designs. Halle Berry's outfit was a leather bra, straps, and improbably ripped trousers. It looked like a cheap Halloween costume that was trying to come off as sexy and fell way short of the mark. I would take Anne Hathaway, Michelle Pfeiffer or Julie Newmar's Catwoman outfits over it any day. Sometimes more is more.

Agreed. I thought Burton's films were just the right amount of darkness and lightheartedness.
