Well I think don't think Orlais would be just another place. It is the heart of Chantry power and a huge political figure in the continent. I don't think it would be anything like Ferelden or Kirkwall. Tevinter would actually be more in line with Ferelden and especially Kirkwall, a land of extremes.

I think as a country, Orlais would be the most varied place the series could take place. Being in all they conquered just about everything they own lol. Even if the whole country is Andrastian, a lot cultures have to exist within that country. In Tevinter there is only one and all the power is tied up in the Magisters.

Though I'm sure Tevinter would be interesting because of the backwards nature, war and slavery.

XxDeonxX--you are assuming a lot of facts not in evidence. As Gaider said last week DA3 if anything could be said to be in the very very early stages...so assuming the war will still be a focus...or as widespread as you may think...is still too early to tell. But opinions can vary and most likely we'll know in 2013. ;)

Idk.. "The Entire World on the brink of war" - Varric. Seems like pretty solid evidence to me =P

What about the Imperial Chantry and its Black Divine? He could be at odds with the Imperial Archon. And The Archon has to curry favor with the Magisters and there could easily be political schemes against him from them or the imperial chantry.
So really theres The Imperial Chantry, The Magisters and The Archon. And the Qunari in their controlled territorys if they still have any on the mainland

I don't see why Tevinter would be any less culturally diverse than Orlais. If anything I'd almost expect it to be more so. Given it's geographic location it seems like it's nearer to a regional cultural crossroads than Orlais is: Rivain to the east, Anderfels to the west, the qunari to the north.

Besides I've seen my fair share of the Chantry and I am interested in seeing more of Bioware's interpretation of the Roman culture. Would you really want to listen to this a whole game?
