to bypass it; set the game to casual before u fight him. the character u control should only do physical attacks; no skill use. if u do this; all three phases of the boss battle will happen accordingly. u set it on casual because attackin the boss with only physicals in the 1st 2 phases is a pain; this also helps u kill the spawns from the altar faster. When the 3rd phase triggers(lightning, ice and fire going on) the moment u get him out of the center go all out and the battle would end without problems
