I have a problem with save importing from ME 1 to ME 2. see. after I finished ME 1, the char save went right into me ME 2 save/ME 1 folder but when I run the game and want to import yhe save and the char, nothing is shown so I can import. So if anyone can help me with this, I will be grateful for his/her help thanks for your help in advance.

Did you move the special end save over to ME2 folder me1 or did you move a standard save over??

Really best way is to simply use the config tool to point at the me1 saves and have it import the ones it can.

Check this page, and double check that you are doing everything that it says to do.
http://www.masseffec....com/import.php
Also, are you running the game and config util in XP compatibility mode (if using Win7/Vista) and with admin privileges?

You will need to browse to this folder;
c:\\program files\\bioware\\mass effect 2\\binaries

Right click on masseffect2.exe, select properties, and then click on the compatibility tab.
Tick the "run this program in compability mode for", and then select Windows XP in the drop down box. Click on apply, and then ok.
Do the same for masseffect2config.exe.

As far as the game goes, it should make no difference. For me, there is no downside to 3 so for the little upside (e.g. collective windows updates and a few new features at the time) might as well get it.

I forgot to add you should also check the box at the bottom of that screen tahht says "run this program as administrator".
Once you have both those files set to XP and admin modes, fire up ME2 config and try importing the ME1 save files again.
