So, has it been said anywhere just what kind of companion Tallis is supposed to be?
Is she going to be like ME2's Kasumi, who joins you on your repetetive marathon run around all of Kirkwall's dreary landmarks after you help her with her little quest?
Or is she going to be like ME2's Liara, who just sits in one place with only one line of dialogue anytime you try to interact with her after the DLC story is done?

Aww...she's not a full companion? That's kinda disappointing since I hate Isabella, and I can't keep Sebastian because Anders is too damn useful. Oh well, I'll almost bet money that Bioware will make Tallis a main character if they make a DA3.

I just played and beat the new DLC DA2 with Tallis and she's only a companion in the DLC.What a shame because I fell love with her for a companion.So I'm stuck with Varric,Bethany,and Merril.Damn I was hoping to have Tallis,Merril,and Bethany to follow me through the rest of DA2.

Who's to say that Tallis won't be a permanent companion, and a LI, ( because of the ending ), in future DLC's, or even DA3, ( I at least hope, that she'll be a permanent companion, and LI in future DLC's, rather than DA3 ), but that's just me, ( that, and IF, ( and that's probably a big if ), they deside to do another DLC with Tallis ), I didn't think I'd become as fond of her as I thought I would, but I did, ( Sebastian was a total waste of time, at least to me he was ), that is, unless they decide to put him in future DLC's as well, ( since, ( I think it was Laidlaw ), that mentioned Starkhaven ), though I "COULD" be wrong about that though, but I think saw that, Starkhaven, Free Marches, Orlais, etc WAS mentioned, but weather or not those places will be in future DLC's or DA3, I guess, remains to be seen.

Sten of the Beresaad had an excuse for following you because he was fufilling his duty to the Arishok by accumulating intelligence on the blight. (And of course there was the secondary reason being that he couldn't go back without his sword.) Tallis is a Qunari who does not have such an excuse and her role within the Qun would probably make fishing for such an excuse difficult. Tallis is a Ben-Hassrath who is tasked with keeping the faith and perhaps occasionally eliminating threats to that task (like taking out Tal-Vashoth such as Salit). Why exactly would a Ben-Hassrath ever be a permenant companion to a Basra? Unless the writers turn her Tal-Vashoth too, I don't see it happening. The Qun isn't a religion that's known for letting people go off on adventures and ignore their roles within the Qun, you know?

Well, I won't stop hoping Tallis will be a permanent companion, and as a LI in future DLC's, lol, so, who knows, besides, at first I said to myself that "She's just another normal elf", then when she told Hawke what she was, I was like 
, lol, and when I got to the end, ( with all the flirting between my female Hawke and Tallis, my face still went like , so no, whatever anyone says, I'm going to wait and see, if she will, ( like I mentioned earlier ), if she will become a permanent companion and a LI in a future DLC, or DLC's, ( whatever the case may be ), for a couple of reasons:
1. What Tallis said in the end, ( that they "MIGHT" meet again ).
2. The Kiss between Hawke, ( Female/Male ) and Tallis, which leads me to believe that she might be back again as a permanent companion and as a LI.
3. Her background story, ( which was interresting, ( and her views on the qunari was a great relief from the other people's views around Kirkwall ).

Lol, probably, but I've been surprised before, I didn't think that Leliana, Flemmeth, nor Morrigan, ( well, maybe not Morrigan, since we haven't seen her yet, and the only things that were said about Morrigan came from Flemeth ), to come back in DA2, so, I'll just wait and see what happens!

Look, it's not like I don't understand what you're saying, it's just that nothing excluded just yet, since there haven't further news about how they'll fit into the game/story, nor when they will appear in DA2, ( if not untill DA3 comes out ), but isn't there something about expect the unexpected, ( or whatever the the saying goes, lol ), and I probably forgot to mention, was that, yes, it probably was mentioned that we would see some old faces return, ( and that's why I'll wait and see if Tallis will be back as a permanent companion and LI ), and yes, I was a little bit unsure as weather to believe what they said about making a comeback, at least untill I saw it with my own eyes.
Ps! Lol, sorry for repeating myself, :S, but I really want Tallis to come back as a permanent companion and as a LI, because the end of Mark Of The Assassin made even me want to see her again, and it felt like there was still some unfinished business, and at the end, I was left with a few unanswered questions, like, will Hawke see her again? , why have the ability to flirt with Tallis, and the ability to kiss her at the end, and not wonder about, why have Mark Of The Assassin end like it did, and not have a chance to get her as a permanent companion, and be able to romance her, and have her as a LI?, and what happens after Tallis leaves the party in the end?, it just doesn't seem fair ya know,, because I liked her far more than I thought I would, and that makes me want her back again as a permanent companion, and as a LI, and I was sad to see her leave, ( cause, ( well, this may sound stupid ), but I get pretty attached to the characters in a game, especially in a game such as DA:O with Leliana, and yes, even Morrigan, ( though as cold as she was, but in the end, I actually felt sad to see her leave ), Wynne, ( when the main character heard about Wynne's "condition" ), even Allistair, ( even though as stupid as his humor was, he was a likeable character ), Zevran, ( yes, he was sent to kill my main character, :S ), but even so, after my main character had gotten to know Zevran a bit, he turned out to be an ok kinda guy, ( though a bit weird, lol, since it felt sometimes he was a bit evasive when he would answer a question with his humor ), Oghren, ( rotflmfao, he cracked me up every single time, 
, ( both in Origins, and in Awakening, with his banter when he was in your party, ( that and every time he fell over because of his drunken state ), let's not forget Bhodan and Sandal, ( can't say much about them, at least nothing in particular that I can remember ), Shale, ( even though she WAS a DLC character ), was someone I grew close to, and Sten, at first he seemed so cold, and I thought "why have him in the party at all, but as time went on, I actually ended up liking him a great deal, and finally, Leliana, ( who my female warden ended up with as a LI ), and in my opinion, of all the characters from DA:O was the character that I loved the most.
Whoops, I almost forgot, Isabel(l)a, I didn't think that she would become a permanent party member either, but then came DA2, so you can imagine why I want Tallis to be a permanent party member, ( and LI ofcourse ).
.........And in Awakening, my favorite characters were Nathaniel, ( yes, even though he was the son of that wretched asswipe in DA:O, lol ), Anders, ( I liked him better in Awakening than in DA2, ( don't know why ), Sigrun, ( she was a great character, and funny too, at times, especially with Oghren in the party, lol ), Velanna, ( she was cold at first, but opened up in the end ), and Justice, ( but, I'm a bit confused as to why I actually liked him ).

), but, the way Aveline is towards Hawke, ( weather it be male or female, ( almost like family, like a big sister ), then, it might seem a bit awkward, at least when you take that into consideration, so, I'm sticking with Tallis, and the hopes on that she'll be back as a permanent companion, and LI, ( when you consider the events that happen in Mark Of The Assassin, what Tallis said at the end, and that kiss ), well, Varric also said that he didn't think that it was the last time they would see Tallis, and it isn't so far-fetched of an Idea to make another DLC with Tallis based on that, because, we don't know if she has the same position/place within the Qun/Qunari, because, like she told Hawke, she had some doubts about just that, and finally, ( I think it was the developers that said, though I could be wrong ), that they weren't planning on another companion DLC, BUT, they didn't exactly say that they weren't going to make another companion DLC, *ack*, what I'm trying to say is, they might make another companion DLC, or they might not, ( and if they do, I hope it will be about, or with Tallis ), or they might make another companion DLC with a new character, I'll just wait and see what will happen.
