I've been a generic fan of Mass Effect since the first game hit PC.  I'm an old gamer in his 40's, so this is far from the only game I play.  Still, it is one of my favorites so I've also picked up all the ME books for the added storyline.   When BioWare announced they were partnering with Dark Horse for the graphic novel "Redemption" I gave it a look, but really wasn't interested because I'm not a comic fan.  However, when they completed the series and releasd a hardback compilation I figured what the heck.

Naturally when "Evolution" started hitting shelves I looked at it as well, but could not find out if there was going to be a hardbound version or not.  One day they were promoting it over their Twitter feed, so I asked.  I never got a response.  What I did get was a signed copy, #480 out of 500 limited run hardbound in the mail today.  I was also emailed a reciept showing bill, tax and shipping... but it was never charged to me.  SOMEBODY at BioWare physically purchased me a copy and shipped it to me.  No idea who or why, no note, no "here you go, enjoy", just bam, a signed copy.

Well, I don't know who you are, but if you're reading this, THANKS!  You're a generous soul. =]  I dressed up all fanboy-ish just for you:

Looking forward to ME3. B)

You are one lucky bastard.

But there is something wrong with that picture. Why is your desk area so clean? Computer desks are NEVER clean!

Well the PC took about two years of seemingly endless over-time, I don't think "luck" had anything to do with that, lol. Still, I am blessed to have it.

The limited run however, that for sure.  :)

As for how well I've aged, yes I've been blessed there as well.  Good genes I guess, My parents are in their 60's but still look younger then people I know in their 50's.  I'll take it! :D

Wow, nice! Cool story.
BW can be quite generous (although in your case it really seems to be a single person).
I remember back before the ME1 release, I came to the BW forums (the old ones obviously). Wasn't on the forums long at the time and just looked at them once every couple of days or so. However, that day there was a new post from Cris Priestly, saying the first 10 people who'd pm him would get a free digital copy of ME1. Did it, and was lucky enough to get a copy. First and only time in my life I actually won something.

Bottom line: BioWare rules! :)
And now I'll stop before I ruin Chris' evil reputation.
Again, congrats man.

Bioware is really awesome like that, haha. Deep down they really do care about their fanbase :D

I just have three things

1) Mac Walters himself signed it? Wow. Hahaha
2) Very nice PC setup
3) You age very well broham. You look no older than 24.

That's ****ing awesome man. BioWare, where's my hardcopy stuff? They should make a sweepstakes or something for CE purchasers.

I have been dreaming about owning an official, unique custom-made steel DVD cover featuring my Shepard. BioWare, could you pretty please? I have 9 equally important characters so far btw. Cheers in advance.

Sorry about this. Anyway, the guy on the pic is in his late twenties, the ME comics all deserve some napalm treatment, and I really hate cranberry sauce.

Is it bad that instead of the awesome comics I'm distracted by your incredible computer set up?

That's pretty awesome, although is it just me or does his neck look really long in that picture?
