Very awesome what someone at BioWare did for you! And awesomer you posted about it here!! But I must ask, where did you get that awesome desktop wallpaper from? I know it's the picture of the Alliance SR-2 that comes with the N7 Collector's Edition, but I have not found a digital copy that size.

Here you go.

I linked it on page 2 originally. :)

You are one lucky bastard.

But there is something wrong with that picture. Why is your desk area so clean? Computer desks are NEVER clean!

I say I'll clean it tomorrow but I never do

Believe me, mine does not always look that good, but I can be a bit of a clean freak.

Bioware IS awesome!  They do treat us well and they make great games (that could use a little better controls on the PC, but aside from that... :innocent: ) with great sotry and NPC interaction.  I've let this thread go pretty far off topic (because I've been enjoying the heck out of it, lol), but once again I have to say "thanks" to whomever thought it a nice gesture to single me out for some generosity.  Much appreciated!

I've been a generic fan of Mass Effect since the first game hit PC.  I'm an old gamer in his 40's, so this is far from the only game I play.  Still, it is one of my favorites so I've also picked up all the ME books for the added storyline.   When BioWare announced they were partnering with Dark Horse for the graphic novel "Redemption" I gave it a look, but really wasn't interested because I'm not a comic fan.  However, when they completed the series and releasd a hardback compilation I figured what the heck.

Naturally when "Evolution" started hitting shelves I looked at it as well, but could not find out if there was going to be a hardbound version or not.  One day they were promoting it over their Twitter feed, so I asked.  I never got a response.  What I did get was a signed copy, #480 out of 500 limited run hardbound in the mail today.  I was also emailed a reciept showing bill, tax and shipping... but it was never charged to me.  SOMEBODY at BioWare physically purchased me a copy and shipped it to me.  No idea who or why, no note, no "here you go, enjoy", just bam, a signed copy.

Well, I don't know who you are, but if you're reading this, THANKS!  You're a generous soul. =]  I dressed up all fanboy-ish just for you:

Looking forward to ME3. B)

Guys, I am thinking we should give BioWare something back for that. We won't be knowing the one that did this great thing for him, but we could return something to BioWare.

What I am thinking is that we organize something to express our gratitude to the people of BioWare for their great work, enthusiasm and friendliness of an amount we just were shown with this very case.

My personal favourite would be mail them our own "love" letters but right now, I don't have too much good ideas that a broad people could go with. So I am asking you fellow forumites this:

How many people would like to spare some freetime (and most probably money) to send something in return to this great company?

If initial interest is high enough, I was thinking we could just ask Priestly to ask his fellow colleges what they really like/love and then we see to it they get it. Not to get some goodies or anything like that, just to show that we really honor such outstanding fanservice!

Who's interested?

Ha, I plan to give Bioware $59.99 in about 6 months . . . . I'm pretty sure that's what they really want!

No, that comes with their job. That's unpersonal. What this one fellow did to our forumite was way beyond his job and a personal favour. Just buying their games is not return enough I think. This should be something for those people over there to have fun with, a little Fans&Developer Valentine's Day, something special just as this was for our forumite.

I just got a PM joking about sending BioWare cookies ... and I think the idea is great!

So if there are people interested in my idea of returning the favour for this forumite as a thanks for the awe inspiring generousity a BioWare employee has shown to him, one method would be sending them selfmade cookies (no poison!).

Any other ideas? Just post them when you get it, the cookie one seems to have been a rather humorous placeholder, but I love the idea!

Keep it coming pals!
