Hey everyone,

If Bioware ever decided to release the games with 3D stereo support some time in the future, that would be trully great as they do look and feel even more 'solid'. That can really help absorb us into this great game universe they have created...

I'd like to demonstrate that by sharing some screenshots of Mass Effect 2 that I took while using a 'free' 3rd party stereo driver in red/cyan anaglyph mode.

(I'm guessing that the lucky few who have true 3D monitors with polarized glasses can get an even better experience, but for the rest of us this should suffice)

So get your cheap cardboard red/cyan glasses out and enjoy! B)
(Right-click on an image and select 'view...' to see the actual size - it's better)

P.S. The 3D depth effect of the driver needs manual adjustment often, in order to achieve the most confortable setting, due to the changes in camera angles and focus. This is something that Bioware needs to address if they are going to produce the 3D stereo versions.

NORMANDY:

Holograms always look nice in 3D

Everyone's favorite pilot performing... piloting. (I could not quite spot his "special" display)

Another hard-working(?) crewmember
Posted Image

Shepard's quarters never looked so cozy
Posted Image

Posted Image

I always wondered what these were for. Advanced grooming stations? Wine chillers? Mandatory sci-fi movie references?
Posted Image

What a mess (effect)
Posted Image

Beautiful spaceships burn beautifully...

GAMEPLAY:

Space exploration looks good too.

The 3D Depth effect has to be readjusted in order for the crossmark to have the proper distance, unfortunately the rest of the HUD changes too
Posted Image

Also during conversations, the 3D depth has to be readjusted because of the camera changes in focus and in angle
Posted Image

This is another good example of how the 3D effect has to be carefully planned for each shot in order to be confortable

CHARACTERS:

Poor Veetor... All his displays are in 2D!
Posted Image

"Miranda, dear, you 're in front of my sports display".
Posted Image

"Hasn't anyone told you, smoking was banned millenia ago?!"
Posted Image

He looks even more devious in 3D
Posted Image

The... view is wonderful...
Posted Image

Dat Ass ™ in glorious 3D. As promised.
Posted Image

Posted Image

And one for the girls
Posted Image

The face behind the mask is now even more tantalizing...
Posted Image

Now he REALLY looks intimidating!
Posted Image

Ouch...
Posted Image

The epitomy of coolness.
Posted Image

It seems science is not his only interest!
Posted Image

That's as close as you can get without loosing a limb or two...

CIDATEL:

I wish signs in the future would look this cool.

All bars are the same, even in deep space.

Dance, just Dance
Posted Image

Trust me, you have to see this in motion, it's so... hypnotic.

Even in the future the good ol' kettle will still be handy for every species' gastronomic explorations!
Posted Image

Just love the refraction of these glasses.

My, I 'll never look at Avina the same way again. I wonder if they come in pleasure models as well... Hmmm.
Posted Image

Posted Image

Not so mysterious when up close...

ENVIRONMENTS & ITEMS:

Some of the environments (if not all) look just stunning in 3D
Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

The foliage doesn't always work well (the flat texture is evident)
Posted Image

This looks better in motion
Posted Image

Posted Image

I hope x-rays are this fun in the future.

This is what you 'll get if you don't like my screenies!:P

I'm not linking to the '3rd party 3D Stereo driver' homepage as this could be considered advertising:police:

You could google it though:whistle:
