I am at a part of the game where  Zevran tries to kill me once again, is there anyway of avoiding losing him as a group member? Do I have to get him to like me more I'm guessing?

Yeah, he has to like you quite a bit for him to even stay neutral in that fight.

Yes, high score. Give him bars of precious metal, or dalish leather goods as gifts.

...Which makes sense, considering he was originally hired to kill you, and if he still doesn't like you after being with you a while, he's going to side with someone he likes more, his Crows friend.

I just execute him every time, he reminds me too much of puss-in-boots, I hate that ****ing cat.
