Title says it all, why do people always think that Tali ( and other Quarians for that matter) is purple inside her suit.

Sure her suit's purple, but it's all we see of her, if you were an alien and you saw one of NASA's astronauts, would you assume that the astronaut and all humans were pale, white and bulky? That seems like some sort of racism to me.

For all we know, Tali could be bright yellow under that suit, you can't just assume things.

The helmet is definitely tinted purple, and there's enough shadow that she really could be any colour.

I think it's the assumption that under helmets for 300 years, they lack proper skin pigment. Their skin, if anything like human, would be shades of grey, pink, and purple.

I would assume they are white, in fact, if their skins lack pigment. Not albino but pale. Animals living in deepest oceans are usually pale white and have transparent skin.

Why, OP?

Space elves.

That's why. All of my why's, in fact.

I imagine Tali either has very short hair (or none) while also having pale white skin or very pale blue (lighter than the Asari).

Can't look too bad considering how much Shepard liked her looks after Tali's mask was removed...

Not indicatory of quality since Shepard is a tasteless plebeian who will screw any xeno who comes his or her way regardless of whether the species is worth the air they breathe or not.

(Voluses are exempt since they don't actually breathe air)

Might be a subconscious association related to the model you can see occasionally in both games, due to a graphical glitch. If you don't know what I'm on about:

That'll be a downer for all the tali lovers out there. If she takes off her helmet in ME3 and looks like that.

Because purple is the best colour there is, that's why.

True enough. Asari ain't much better either. Female Shepards screw a frog character.

Looking down the halway here in my office building ... that assumption would not be far off.
