Yeah, the fact that devs release a GOTY or complete edition that includes all DLCs with the main game is really annoying. But ME3 is something I want to play at release.

They are annoying if you have bought the game and every DLC separately, only to see them all available for a combined lower price.IsaacShep wrote...

I want Gears 3 but that is nuts. I'll still get it as I play it for the single player anyway but that is stupid. As far as the topic Bioware was very good with the ME 2 dlc I have no doubt the ME 3 dlc will be the same.
Gears 3 is a good game and worth the money. Just don't waste your money on the horse armor, er, dlc that's out right now. That's the best way to send the message to any company about anything. Don't like what they're doing/selling? Don't give them your money. Other companies get the message too. Well, at least until they concoct some new twist to put on the same scheme.
After all, human decency does exist, but the more humans you put together the less decency they have. Companies are made of lots of people. Just some food for thought.

You buy half a game for 50 bucks and another 50 bucks you pay for DLCs. It's so common by now that it is not even a big deal really. Would you rather have a complete game and pay 100 bucks to begin with? I don't think so. I really don't understand how people can still feel ripped off if it is the same thing for many games for many years. Just get used to it, and no, they would not change their marketing strategy for those who complain about it. As long as people buy it the way they sell it, they won't change a thing. Also, you can wait for an ultimate edition and get the game including all DLCs if you wait for a year or so. But I guess you don't want to wait?MrCry0 wrote...
I kinda want to touch on something. Mass effect is a great series to a lot of us, and we all want mass effect 3 to be the pinnacle of the series. But before Bioware releases it, I would like to make one desperate plea.
Please don't sell us out to DLC. Mass effect 2 got some decent DLC, but, there also was a lot of additional content that was way overpriced, ready from day one and way overpriced for what we got out of it. I just don't want anything like this (http://www.ripten.co...c-to-a-new-low/) to happen. And no, this is in no way an attempt to compare GoW3 and ME3, dont go down that road in this topic.
Basically, do not leave us hanging by locking a lot of content on the disc away for us to buy extra, like microsoft likes to do to so many games these days. I want to be able to enjoy mass effect 3 to it's fullest extent, for the price I pay in the store. A fair price.
I hope, and pray, for the best.
Sorry people, but it is still your decision how you spend your money and how cheap or expensive the game will be for you. So if you choose to pay alot because you don't want to wait then don't complain. You don't buy a Ferrari and then complain about how much it costs either.

That's exactly how it SHOULD be. Things lose value over time. Old/older games don't count $60 all the time, why should DLC?robarcool wrote...

I think Bioware was pretty reasonable with the DLC for ME2.
Dragon Age 2 on the other hand... don't even get me started on that one.
To be fair, look at all of the free items that were thrown at us. I've got 9 pieces of DLC ready to download (free of charge) and I haven't even bought the game yet.
On another note, EA does know about cash cows, though. They're still milking the heck out of The Sims series. Expansion packs, "stuff packs", spin-offs, ports...

Don't blame Bioware, blame EA. They basically use their influence as a game publisher to force developers to strip parts of their games and sell them as extra DLC just so they can make more money.

I'm not sure what this says about me (nothing good, I know that much); but, when it comes to Mass Effect at least, I'd buy every DLC they offer, pay twice as much as they're asking, and smile while doing it.

Quite a bit of free DLC to be honest compared to a lot of games. Gotta give 'em credit for that.
@Demonique: You should download them, for the shotgun and arc projector if nothing else. Zaeed is cool too, and his loyalty mission has one of the hardest decisions in the game (for me anyway). Also it's the only mission that I can recall with branching paths.
