I've been troubleshooting this for 2 days now. 

I've purchased Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition from the Origin store and downloaded it 3 times now.  On install I get a message that says Installation failed and with the "check for solutions" box I'm informed it's the vc++ redistributable file that's corrupted.  This isn't new to me because I had the same issue with Dragon Age 2 Digital download from the Origin store previously.  I resolved this issue by downloading the vc++ file directly from Microsoft and replacing the file in my Origin Games>_Installer>DISK1>Redistributable file.  This work around worked and I've had no issues with Dragon age 2.
 
When I do this with my Dragon Age Origin file and attempt to install via the Origin platform I get a new promt to "Please insert Dragon Age Origin CD/DVD into drive C:"  problem is it's a digital download and there is no disc.
I've looked all over the forums here for help and spent 2 hours in the Live Chat with EA to be told that I need to reinstall Origin.  Which I did and still the same roadblock after redownloading my digital copy for a 3rd time.

I'm on Vista Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 2

My system meets and/or exceeds the system requirements for Dragon Age Origins.  As I've said I've played Dragon Age 2 on this system with no problem after getting through the install issue with the redistributable.

On the forums and in the help I've come accross similar posts but they were with DCL content and install issues concerning the retail versions that don't help me.  I did find a troubleshooting guide for install issues through EA concerning digital downloads that asked me to change my download location to new file titled Origin in my C drive>User>Username>Download file.  I tried this but the settings in Origin won't allow that.  This troubleshoot guide is obviously for an older version of Origin as some of the instructions are for features that are in different locations in the current version of Origin. I currently have version 8.2.5.2532 of Origin installed.
